Hey guys, english.dating is a premium domain I recently purchased.

Estibot gives it $1,400
Sedo gives it $3,000
"English dating" returns 226 million results on Google.

What do you guys think?

Hello,

Personally I would list it for $400 - $600.

Englishdating .com, .net, .org and .co.uk are taken.

I cant see any value in this one

My advice is to stay away from these new extensions when starting out in this game, there is no market for them

Never user Esitbot with domain appraisals

The majority are sitting parked, 2 of the 3 I checked have BIN's under $1000

With A $80 renewal, it is not a good buy

Thank you guys. I believe there is some demand for premium domains with these new gTLDs, as .club for example is doing well. Is estibot not good for appraising domains?

I don't consider a domain that only gets 170 exact match as premium. And no to the Estibot question.

No, and SEDO's price suggestion tool is even worse, at least IMO.

Personally, I use Estibot to fast-check statistics, such as CPC and search volume, but don't put too much faith in the valuation part.

The registrar I used labeled it as premium. Sorry for my ignorance, what do you use to check the number of exact matches?

@kohsamui

What names and what sort of prices? Are they sales to fellow domainers?

$105 - $2700... Both domainers and end-users. For some, I have no idea. I've mentioned some of the names in the "reported sales thread". There are a few .XYZ, a .WORLD, two .CLUB, a .DOMAINS, a .CREDIT and a .DELIVERY

This means nothing when companies arent using them, look at the sales records of these extensions, thats all domainers really care about, unless you wanna develop one of them, which is not the case here

Now compare the total number of sales of these extensions (namebio/DNJournal) compared to the number of them being registered and you will see what the chances are of selling them, you have more chance of being struck by lightning

Have you checked how many are being used by the companies that bought them from you? Im just curious...

I rely on my own stats from the two last years. Struck by lightning? Ok, then I've been that 50 times the last 1,5 years. I gotta be a lucky guy! ;) I have mentioned some end user sales in another thread recently. If you have the time / interest, you might go back a little in my forum history. I will not reply more in this thread as it is clearly off topic and irrelevant for the subject (but I am happy to respond via PM etc).

Its a new extension, there are always sales when a new extension is launched...have a look at all the old threads about new extensions and see how they are going now....this will keep repeating itself...rather save yourself some money
