I send them a personalized postaged mail, written on perfumed stationary. It makes them feel special.

Do you have male and female cologne?

I use gender-safe odors. Like raspberry or mint.

Text is definitely better but I use both for optimal delivery. I rotate sales templates as well to keep my emails going to the inbox as much as possible... Experience has shown me that this is what works best for me...

I use the free email GD gives you with my domain LLC. I see no way to send both??? Is there a trick?

This is an example email i send potential end users. It has proved very effective.

Re: www.?????????.com

Hello,

I am contacting you to let you know that (www.????????.com) is being put up for sale. You may have interest in securing this domain as an extension of your online business portfolio or as a redirect to your existing company website.
For transparency its only fair to advise you that I am sending an email to other parties I believe will be interested in acquiring this address, so my email to you is not exclusive. If you are interested in securing this domain before its listed at auction please contact me. Thank you for your time and I look forward to receiving any feedback you may have.

Best Regards,

Typical spam email. Better change it. Spammers use the same model. Or maybe you are one of the spammers:td:

so beside this criticism, do you have an example which is not "spammy" in your opinion?

and if so, would you share it with us?

thanks & have a good day

I always send via text. Of course the name and domain inside each email is customized - but sending HTML emails never sounded appealing to me for this form or marketing!

For me, it's just a matter of function: text always renders, no browsers or mailers block text e-mail and many high-security settings do block. At worst, text can be a little disjointed looking in certain readers. HTML on the other hand can be a horrible mess of code, totally blocked, etc. So over and above any stylistic or professional issues, text is the practical option, so text is what I use.

I use Gmail and take advantage of all it's formatting options (tables, lists, pics and gdrive attachments). Recipients will always be prompted by almost any modern client to confirm wether they want to load pictures but I never include important info in the pics just in case.

I also use YesWare to track and monitor delivery, opens, clicks etc. So far I'm getting 80%+ delivery rate which IMHO I'm happy with. In trying HTML formatted v's TEXT only emails I haven't seen any difference these days.
