Efty Marketplace Example

Today I signed up for the EFTY 30-day trial to test the look and landing page customization feastures. I already have a portfolo on another site. I was just curious what other domainers have done to see what features are available etc. I did notice it did not automatically upload my .TV domains but it did look at WHOIS to find most of the others - even those which were expired. I decided to "not publish" most of the Spanish domains on this EFTY site. Anyone have some examples....

Ok few thoughts - things are way too messy and inconsistent:

- header and footer are waaay too big - too much wasted space

- "premium domains"? how do you pick which are premium?

- if I don't upload logos I get these fugly, crooked (why the hell are they crooked?), not even fitting... something. Just show the link and price/make an offer or perhaps give us option to choose color and font for logos

- I added "efty market sales price" , it only really shows on the first page of sands theme, nowhere else

- one of the themes shows "call us", how do I get rid of it?

- for those who have js disabled it doesn't load names (on "view all")
- borgen template doesn't even have "show all"

- I hate infinite scrolling - everything started to slow down after a few loads and completely froze after around 100 names. Showing more than a few hundred would be impossible. Just give us option to pick how many names we have per page (100) and use normal link

- on narrow window (sands theme) the text/link overlaps "make an offer"

- when I searched for something and then for something else the "search" button wouldn't work, I had to press "enter" (sands theme)

Etc etc

Definitely not ready for release.

Overall the themes look nice on the examples above but without adding categories, phone, social buttons etc they look quite empty...

And about the regular landing pages - I tested one of mine and after submitting there was a lag before I was shown confirmation.
The whirling thingy that shows me to wait was pretty small - perhaps make it bigger and on top of the "send offer" button to make sure people don't close the page before offer is properly submitted...?

categories are accumulated based on the categories you have assigned to your domains. You can't customize these for now.

- You can select up to nine domains to feature on the homepage as 'premium". Just search for the domain in your Efty account, click Edit, open the Marketing tab and check or uncheck the Premium box.
- If you don't like the way domains are presented in Tiles i recommend to switch to table view (Settings > Efty Market)
- Efty market price not showing in search Sands design search result: If you change to Table view it shows but in Tiles view it doesn't. Thanks for flagging, we'll get that sorted!
- You can remove your phone number from the Settings > Profile page.
- Can you email us a screenshot ([email protected]) of where the text overlaps the button?

I already removed all names and pointed main domain to landing page - but it was sands theme if I'm not mistaken, main page and width around 800-900px

BTW - there's no way to revert to previous marketplace url? (the one on efty.com domain)

Which design was that - I just tested both and can't replicate the issue.

Just passing by to say that I've used Efty for the last couple of months and I love it. I love the designs of the landing pages. One of the designs is my favorite ('Keifer', I think), so that's what I use for all my landing. I love the 'insights' I get on each of my domains. It helps me determine which ones may be more valuable to others.

I'm currently in the process of fully setting up my custom marketplace. However, the one thing I did notice is that at the bottom of the custom marketplace page, twitter and facebook links are switched. I thought it was just my marketplace but I did check yours as well, @Doron Vermaat

There are a few kinks to be worked out here and there, but all in all, I've had a good experience at Efty thus far.

All of those are little things - the most important one is the problem with infinite scrolling and freezing if you load too many names

300x80 pixels is the required format for logos across Efty (For-Sale landing pages and marketplace). JPEG, GIF or PNG and max 1MB. You can check www.namerockstar.com or www.thedomainstore.com to see some live examples.

I have set analytics for my landers and I can already see where traffic is coming from and so on but there's no way of knowing which domain brought the traffic, it's all summed up in there. Is this normal?
