Is ebay something that can be utilised to get more views on listings? Has anyone had success with this?

No. So many better options. Build your own landers for instance.

you could make sales on there, people do it. IF its a dot com, nice logo, nice two word name, and you price it under 300, you can sell there.

I had a great success with eBay.
My fist significant sale was via eBay.
I'm going back to eBay now.

In the very early domain trading days, ebay was one of the few places to sell domains but it became known for sellers outrageous pricing for even the poorest quality of domains. I don't think it ever recovered as a domain sales platform. There's no checks on who owns what, so members can list any domain they want to, on top of that you would have to arrange your own escrow or raise a dispute quite early in the sales process before your funds are Auto-released. I can't imagine any serious domain buyers searching for domains there
