I have searched this question but not really gotten much. I would like to know if ebay works for either buying or selling domains. I have a domain that I just parked at Sedo today. I was thinking about trying ebay also. Some people here say that ebay domains are no good and others say it works well for them. I guess I would just like more info from this part of the forum. I parked the one I have at sedo because a lot of people here said that's what they do. I was thinking about running my AdSense and just letting it sit to see what happened till so many people here talked about parking at sedo.

Is someone here feeling like a teacher and willing to reply. I am all ears and very willing to learn.

Thanks

1. You don't need to park at Sedo to get listed -> it will just makes accurate stats for buyers. And also if You park at Sedo, there's no 50$ minimal fee so it's worth when You're selling 100-300$ domains (10% is significantly less then 50$).

2. Sedo is ridiculous with plenty of domains, giving You 0,02EUR clicks where other companies brings 30-80 $cents. Try Parked or other companies (SEE SIG). You'll get more from domain. And You can send screenshots of stats to any buyer so it's OK.

3. If You want Your own ads with some minisite, be aware that some sites with very few content might get You banned with Adsense as they are protecting advertiser and on minisites with small content, CTR might be very high.
You'll get better CTR with Parking and You're not risking BAN.

4. Disadvantages of Parking is that Google will drop site few hundred results lower bringing very few traffic. So if the domain is expired and got remaining traffic and some search engine traffic, build minisite with nice content and adsense + relevant to traffic (see archive.org) affiliate programs.

5. Ebay - Ebay has tons of fraudalent offers, and with domains it's same. I've seen lately sexshops.com selling there for 160$. That fraud moron even wrote different domain registar (OVH) then the real registrar. So people might not trust Ebay domain listings much. But still there are sellers that well there.

6. If You're trying to sell domain, Sedo is good, but more eyes more sales -> so register at 2 other big marketplaces (Afternic got 20$ one time fee but it's really worth).
