EbaumsWorld.com Typos - Why so many?

I think of all of the typos that have OVT w/ Ext, EbaumsWorld.com has to be close to having the most. Maybe it's because everyone tells their friends to "Go To e Bomb's World Dot Com, it's the best!". I've never seen it actually written down any where. Put that together with the already odd "ebaums", and you're sure to have a lot of typos.

I just wonder (since it was their content that made their site popular not their name) if they would've chosen something simple, how much less traffic they would've lost to typos.

Also, anyone know if they pursue typosquatters as aggressively as eBay?

It's a long name that's hard to spell so people type it wrong. Typos are popular for that site.

Otherwise, I dunno about your typosquatters question. sorry.

I doubt that their have the money or the will to target cybersquatters like eBay does....

But, I certainly think, that if they had had a better and shorter name, they would recieve a substantial amount more traffic.

I always type http://www.ebaums.com , the world always gets me. My other common one is I seem to type spytorrent.com instead of torrentspy

Yes, I think Bob Parson in his radio show at GoDaddy talk with the founder of ebaumsworld! they ahve alexa less than 500!

it was originally a joke shop, and the name of a physical location isnt as important because you could say: "its on the corner of main a broadway" but then when it turned website (as with most small businesses) the name went out the window.

I think because bums like to go ebaumsworld.com, and bums cant type. so....
