Earn 2000 NP$ in animated gif design contest

Hey you talented Web artists :wave:

I'll push 2000 NP$ to the winner of this contest:

Please submit animated .gif designs for the domain ParisPasChiant.org.

Colors: Blue, with a little red and maybe some black and white.

One idea: use a capital "A" for the "a" in pAris, and make it look like the Eiffel Tower

Bonus points if you can make the Eiffel Tower sparkle periodically (with white or light yellow lights).

What does the name mean? Paris "not shitty," i.e., nice It's a guide to restaurants and such within Paris.

Contest ends at midnight Pacific Time on Monday, December 5th. Please post to this thread with any questions.

Maybe if you can tell us examples of animation it'll help us understand alittle more. However, I'll use your sparkle Idea and something else .

Wow, Matt, this design is really nice. Here are my animation ideas:

1) start with the Eiffel Tower
2) have the letters "P" and "RIS" all come down simultaneously from the top, not too fast.
3) the word "pas" then appears all at once, with no movement, except for a little pulse (as you may know, this word means "not;" the color red here is perfect)
4) if you can make the word chiant come sliding in from behind all the other letters, left to right, that would be cool.
5) and then the .org with either a little glow or a slow fade in, something like that.

Thanks a lot, this is looking great. Only other idea is, it could be just a little smaller.

means that real competition is present. it is a reference to horse racing, when two horses are at the front of the race, and depending on the moment, the neck of either one or the other bobs is momentarily in first place :gl:

I'd rather have paris in blue, and pas in red, rather than the other way around (as I had mentioned in my original feedback to 170designs...

Also, I don't know why, but I don't really like the look of the letter "g" in .org. Could you put something a little more curly or rounded?

Oups one last thing, can you make the whole thing transparent, where there isn't color? I don't know if that's easy, already done, or hard (that's why I get designer guys and gals to do this kinda stuff...)

yeah the combination of psd and another file would be cool. the problem is that I haven't decided on the background color for the site, don't like what I have now.

my one last change is if you could align the rightmost part of ".org" with the "T" in chiant

P.P.S., I kinda liked the lighthouse sparkle effect at the top of the Eiffel Tower that you had done earlier. If you could add that back in, that would be sweet too :santa:
