Hi Guys,

So... searching online I found a domain that recently become available;

e-fly.co.uk

I picked it up as I think it has potential, only cost me £2.99 so it was pretty darn cheap.

Thoughts on prices and how to progress with it? I was thinking of development, but perhaps there is a direct selling opportunity?

Cheers

It has a potential to be a local marketing website for flights in United Kingdom.
But I found troubling live trademarks by the terms "e-fly" and others by the term "efly" but I'm not an expert, so I suggest checking this out.
As for direct selling opportunity, I'm not sure how much you can get for this name.
Definitely lower price than .com
I don't want to guess so I won't add a price tag to it.

Good luck! :)

I just double checked, and there isn't any existing or pending applications for a trademark on;

e-fly, efly e fly.

Thanks though... should have checked before!

Edit: Well... there was an e-fly... but it was in the market of bug extermination in yorkshire england... I have more of a vacation/flights plan for this one.

I'm sorry but there are two live trademarks except e-fly
Trademark by the term: "EFLY" -- and also a trademark by the term: EFLY.COM
I suggest checking in uspto.gov's trademark search.
Perhaps I also missed something, I advice to check it a few times.

Trademark 1 - under e-fly is for SKY24.EU FLY HIGH PAY LOW and this is a search error on ipo.gov as the trademark is for eu fly.

Trademark 2 - again for e-fly states: "Anti pest, pest killing and pest control apparatus and instruments, parts and fittings thereof; insect killing apparatus and instruments and parts and fittings thereof; electrically powered machines [wall or floor mounted] for attracting and killing flying insects." So in this case, not relevent to the purpose of e-fly.co.uk (flights & holidays).

Trademark 3 - "Transport; packaging and storage of goods; travel arrangement; booking of transport; booking of seats (travel)" However this is for eFly Services.

No infringement made on any of the above intellectual property rights of the applicants.

Anyone else got feed back?

EDIT::: Actually having looked on the website you were using for the US (mine was for the UK) I see what you mean.... Does the "-" make a difference?

cheers.

I'm not an expert but I know it might be a problem.
A trademark doesn't have to be identical to the infringing counterpart, it can be confusingly similar.
Like no one can register a trademark or have a domain name of "Microsof-t.com" etc.
I would stay clear of this name but I suggest checking this with other sources before deciding crucial decisions regarding your domain

Good luck

Any more opinions on value of the domains etc?

For arguements sake, if it is NOT infringing any trademarks etc what prices could be be looking at?

£2.99 (plus VAT?), due to the hyphen. I wouldn't want to market a site with hyphens as I don't want to waste too much money and time trying to get consumers to always remember the hyphen.
