This day I received this email from Dynadot concerning a domain that I add to my watchlist

Dear Ivan

This email is to notify you that we have removed 6k.org from your watchlist because it is not a valid domain due to the following: ORG domains must be at least 3 characters.

You can view your watchlist here: https://www.dynadot.com/account/watchlist

Best Regards
Dynadot Support Team

Did they reserve this name for being premium?
Why we can´t access to this name through his platform?

The explanation is absurd, This look like a Joke

It looks perfectly reasonable to me. 2 letter .orgs are not allowed. Even if it was available you would have no chance of buying it since it would be worth thousands.

Yes i know that, but should not appear in the platform. It is logical that worth thousands, we all know that. Always set aside premium domains for them.
What is not logical is that name listing at expired auction and then you get those explanations, because since they listing this domain for public, the argument loses validity , at least for me.

You're right, it doesn't make sense. I see the listing, and several letter-number.orgs have sold over the past year at auctions between $800 and $2000. I just bid on it, so there seems no problem with the auction.

Don't know about this issue but in all honesty I have been using Dynadot as my main registrar for a few years now and and they are great.

CC.org are of course available and can be bought and sold so maybe they just have a filter set to the wrong parameters.. Open a support ticket and explain the situation, from my experience they are very fast to resolve any issues that might occur.

It may be a system bug.
By publishing the fact that this domain name is on expiring auction on dynadot, you have revealed it to more potential bidders.
I believe this was a mistake because now the ones with the $x,xxx/$xx,xxx for bidding will most likely participate if possible.
Hint: If you notice CC.com/CC.net/CC.org/other premium domain, it is best to keep this
knowledge to yourself.
It is advisable to edit the above post to not show the actual domain name.

I too have been used Dynadot for a while and I don't have anything bad to say about them except that they really send out weird emails sometimes.
They must have some bugs or something in their systems. When the weird stuff gets into my inbox I normally chat with them or write an email and if they have some system issues they are pretty quick at fixing them

Two letter domains have been barred to be re-registered to avoid conflict issues with CCtlds

What you saw, was the domain dropping. All currently registered 2 letter domains will be up (and sellable on auctions platform) as long as the user keeps renewing it. But once it is expired and gone into pending delete, it will never come back to be available or drop-catch. That's ICANN policy and perfectly wide known :)

I'm aware of this policy and I hope that they will change this someday.
Also, it would have been great if ICANN was to prohibit the practice of domain warehousing.
They have an open debate/thread about it on their website with the status: "Under Discussion" since Mar 07, 2012.
Unfortunately, 99.9% that they will just close it without changing their policy.

Sad, but true.

However my apologies too. The original domain in question of OP, this isn't the case in this name as this name is not dropping but instead, in the expired domain auction of Dynadot - it's very well purchasable without any problem.

But yeah, still they don't allow 2 letters to be added to watchlist - that's certainly the bug (aka. lazyness)

Well the fact of this discussion to express a situation and the response.
With respect to service Dynadot am very satisfied have a fast and reliable service.
On the other hand I get answers to concerns and acquire knowledge of other issues ignored, that is the most valuable for me.
I think this topic should be closed.
Thank you all for your contributions.

Regards Namepros!
