Can I ask a stupid question?

Why is $8.95 .com transfer at Dynadot such a big deal when Sav offers $8.99 .com transfers all the time and it's $9.14 to renew .com at Sav while it costs $10.99 to renew at Dynadot?

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, there are things you are missing. Dynadot is preferred by pro investors.

Hence they can sell at a higher price.

Sav is new and unproven;
Dynadot won Namepros registrar of the year recent; and Dynadot UX is the cleanest on the eyes.

I think a dropped name can be registered, but not within a specific timeframe after it dropped, like 24 hours or something.. Not sure, though, but I think I used the promotion to reg a name that was dropped, but I reg it at a later date.

Hi Allysin,
as Samer said, currently Dynadot is - by far - the most valued registrar among domainers - at least within this community.

Why is Dynadot preferred by pro investors please?

Among others: price and fee policies, bulk management options, their own marketplace, which features among others Lease to Own and domain auctioning; good customer service, integration with both Sedo's and Afternic's networks...

When previously owned domains are released by the Registry back to the public for open registration, there is a fixed window where they qualify as re-registrations (re-reg). The window starts as soon as the domains are released, or dropped, and ends 23:59 ET that same day. If a domain is registered within that time frame, it is a re-registration.
Here is the link at Dynadot: https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/domain-re-registration

That's right, the coupon does actually work on domains there were previously registered (I just bought some with it).

Dynadot is great in registration sense, but your domains are not safe, because Dynadot posts PPC ads =your bad faith 100 percent. All domains have a part which is trademark (actually multiple parts resemble multiple trademarks, but they choose one which will serve their domain-theft purpose and it works because they (complainant+udrp) are evil and powerful).

Yes, I mean default settings. By default they show PPC ads and commit crime on our behalf, and we are punished for their crime,
although we are against what they are doing, and everyone knows this. You can use dynadot nameservers and use it for url redirect and there may be no problem, but we don't have so much time or motivation to change default settings.

Why is it a crime: because it is punishable by domain loss. It doesn't make any sense, but logic doesn't apply at the top of internet, they commit crime by blaming us for committing crime, and our crime is someone else's actions which have nothing to do with us, except that we are against them.

Someone borrows your car without permission, and and he would give it back if you make a request, but you don't make that request, and he commits a small crime using that car, but you are punished for a big crime because of their small crime. This is UDRP logic. You can reverse their decision by spending lots of time and money, and they know you won't do it; and they see you become furious about their decision, and they laugh at you, drink human blood with adrenaline while celebrating their demonic victory .

I understand.
I don't know why but the landers of my domains at Dynadot don't show PPC ads, neither when using Dyn's nameservers nor when using the nameservers of other marketplaces.
