Dubai Goldrush Will Continue for a Long, Long Time!!

MY GAWD!!! I was just doing some in depth research on the net about some of the projects going on in Dubai. No wonder you are buying up Dubai domains like crazy! They are spending over $90,000,000,000 on some of the most incredible projects in world history. Here are a few:

-Dubailand. Will be the largest entertainment complex in the world when completed. Twice the size of Disneyland. Do a google search to get some pictures of this one. It is mindblowing.

-Burj Dubai. Will be the tallest most beautiful building in the world when completed in '08.

-Dubai Marina. A $10 billion project that will house 120,000 people and be a city unto itself.

-Dubai Sports City. A massive super modern sports complex that will also contain hotels and condos.

-Dubai ski dome. Largest indoor ski resort in the world. All kinds of snow sports here as well as spas and much more.

-Madinat Al Arab. An entire futuristic world being created on the seafront in Dubai.

-Hydropolis. An underwater hotel!

-Old Town. Located a foot of Burj Dubai. Will include largest shopping center in the world as well as a beautiful redidential area.

-Space Science World. Part of Dubailand. An entire world devoted to space travel.

And that is just a sample. There is much much more being developed. I have not been domaining all that long so when I went to register some names most real good ones were taken. However, I think I got one of the last real good, short domain names that should sell for some good cash considering the job boom all this is creating. DubaiTemps.com. It is short, easy to remember and covers a huge market: temp jobs, and many full time jobs, since many full timers in Dubai are actually only long term temp workers.

To conclude, it should be clear that the goldrush in Dubai will be going strong for a long, long time to come. Dubai domain names will do great and should be a part of every domainers portfolio.

I think 20k for property was cheap if true....

It was sold in SnapNames this past January 2007.

So I guess when you look at all the projects going on in Dubai that's pretty cheap.

Yes he did, only because all the usual big spenders (apart from Bonkers who did'nt bid) were'nt in the drop for it. I was waiting for that baby to drop for weeks If I had the money I would of paid alot more than that for it.

There are dozens and dozens of huge Multi-Billion dollar projects going on all over the Middle East.

Abu Dhabi is also far richer than Dubai due to thier larger oil reserves, Abu Dhabi has 94 percent of the UAE's oil reserves !!!.

They seem to like what they see in Dubai and are hot on their heels !

in fact....the whole region seems to be thinking the same way too

Bahrain - Ajman - Oman - Saudi Arabia - Sharjah - Ras Al Khaimah are all planning similar type island projects to Dubai.

Dubai currently has about 30,000, or 24 per cent of the world's 125,000 construction cranes apparently .....I think they may need a helluva lot more cranes to be built, someone's going to make a killing with cranes ! :lol:

I bought ArabianRiviera_c*m with plans to make a huge site about the whole region but I don't have the money or manpower to make that happen yet, maybe one day I can pull it off, at the moment its on the backburner :tu:


PS - Keep in mind that the UAE does have it's own domain extension which is the .ae and not everyone on the planet thinks .com is king

Gold? What gold? Speculation. The majority of the population is Dubai is made of workers paid less than 300 dollars per month. I don't think that they will be buying up all the luxury condo developments still in construction. I see huge demand for affordable housing, but no offers.

Same for domains, i see plenty of speculators with plenty of domains, but no end user. No one in Dubai, not even the stupidest prince, is going to burn cash on any of your domains. Plus they prefer the local extension.

Please get down to Earth.

Very True, I watched a documentary about the way many of the foreign workers were living in Dubai - Shocking !

I would have to disagree with you there for the most part, some people here have already had x,xxx to xx,xxx sales for dubai related names.

Yes they do have thier own extension and quiet often they use it, they also buy .com now and again !
