.tv Dropping .tv domains

I was trying to pick up a .tv from the drop list today and it left me wondering how some people operate when catching the drops.

I know exactly what timeframe the .tv domains drop and I was checking for their availability every 1-2 seconds. I noticed the name above and the name below the domain I wanted was available just on time, but the domain I had my eyes on never came up as available. This has happened 2-3 times in the last week and I'm starting to get a little ticked off about it.

It still isn't possible to backorder .tv's is it? How is it possible that a domain that supposedly gets dropped at a given date & time, doesn't show up as available for atleast a couple of seconds? Is this one of those annoying script tricks? :P

If anyone knows the big secret, please feel free to share it with me.

If the name had a legacy premium renewal I don't believe you would be able to pick it up at Godaddy. Also, I have noticed a few as well that don't drop at the precise moment one would expect. You just keep trying. I picked up RealEstateAgency.tv that way a few months ago.

First time this has ever happened & on a Sunday morning but lost one while it was in my cart (highly searched phrase but not a perfect fit for the extension so I hesitated). Transaction was processed but then received an email later that the domain was already registered. Competition for .tv domains is heating up...

There are plenty of people sitting waiting at 4am, and there are many more people now that have script like Polin, the name comes available for a second and that's really only delay on the site, the domain is caught right away. Like someone told me last week, I am going to catch anything that moves. Congrats to discovernow on DM.tv catch nice one Jim. I also don't think anyone will be sharing any secrets with anybody else. Again IMO

Another missed opportunity this time at Namejet. A nice two-word .tv name which six months ago might would have gone for ~$100 or so (as there were few bidders) went over $200. Congrats to the buyer.

Where can I find a droplist for .tv?

^ Good question ... for giggles, I'd like to maybe pick up an .TV for my own personal vanity purposes and hoping to grab a former "Premium" (for the new Standard $Xx pricing / max.) that someone will inevitably now drop due to its present (ie. "Legacy") :$: HEFTY annual renewal fee(s) IMHO. :music:
Anyone willing to share their secrets via post or PM?

Thanks and best regards,
Jeff B-)

It's true, I guess I am as vain as the next .TV'r ... please note, though, that I said "maybe" and for "max. $Xx" (for a dropped Hefty annual :$: Premium), IMHO.
Keeping on topic ... please post or PM relevant (or secret) drop lists! :yell:

Thanks much,
Jeff B-)

Well Jeff,

All I can say is Welcome to .TV...:)

I don't have any drop list info, but I sure as hell hope you get it. I would be ecstatic to see what you grab, as I am sure one or 2 other members here would also be happy to say, Whoa, .TV is really going somewhere soince jeff now owns one,

But seriously,
If anyone has a list, Please send me one too.

I would really appreciate it.
Thx,
Vito.

For a droplist of .tv domains go to Backorder Domain Names - Free Back Orders For All Domain Names

Click on "Search more expiring domains"
Type .tv in the seach box and click "ends include extension" on the filter.
Press search and voila!

To figure out when each domain actually drops select the one you are interested in and click "Secure this domain" the data will then give you the drop date.

Now you know. ;)
