Well I love .info domains and as such seen this name and couldn't resist picking it up because it fits the extension really well. Most people outside of the domain industry have no clue what drop-catching is or where to go etc.

Just looking for some thoughts on this name and such

Name: DropCatching.info

Cheers to all who reply!!

Dropcatching.info is a nice name and probably fits the extension. For the fact that it is an info extension, it will be a bit difficult to convert it into a commercial empire. Having said that, a mini site with related affiliate links would easily be able to finance its renewal fees or maybe more. I hope your next move would be acquiring dropcatching.com.

Thank you for your opinions Jawed REP coming your way! Now as far as getting the .com.....only in a dream I suppose heh.

Looking for a few more thoughts on this domain......I think it has some great potential for an informational website ....do you?

Definitely think you should make an informational site on dropcatching with it. Maybe with daily updates in a blog format of what you got and didn't get (if you don't mind sharing that stuff) for the day. Put it in your sig. and I'd definitely check it out :)

I own the .us of this name.
LMK if you dev it out and we can trade links... I'll be doing a blog on mine, shortly.
I am not the sort of guy to give up much "good" info on this, as the less people I have competing against me, the better, but it should be useful for total beginners.

All I would suggest is that if you're going to do an information site, make sure you're actually knowledgeable enough to pull it off.

i love this name.

few days ago, a new german website launched a dropcatching service with an info extension:

catch.info

it is a service to catch .ch , .at and .se domain names currently.

as i already mentioned, .info is much more appreciated in europe than in english speaking countries.
maybe you should focus on these domainers/customers as the word "dropcatching" is also used here and as you might get lot more money
