It really depends on where the domain is registered...

If the domain is with NetworkSolutions.com it will go to NameJet.com in the Pre-Release section. If the domain is registered with Register.com it would go to SnapNames.com. Godaddy.com to TDNAM.com etc.

Otherwise the domain would follow the normal delete cycle if the domain is not with a partnered registrar.

Thats if they don't decide to just keep it for themselves :td:

Search for it in tdnam, if you get it using tdnam you won't lose the domain's age.

So if it register with godaddy I wont get it with pool, namejet, or snapnames? Can I place a backorder with Tdnam, or do I have to bid on it?

No. It would be a TDNAM.com Exclusive first. If no bids are placed, then the domain would go Pending Delete etc.

Expired Domain Auctions that started today on tdnam expired back on 6-27-2008 (25 days). So use that as a guide for when the domain you are interested in will hit TDNAM. (keep in mind of the auto renew period, as the domain will show it expires 2009, but it is likely the domain really hasn't been renewed by the owner)

So Aug 4th it should be listed on TDNAM and then run for 10 days and end Aug 14th. If you win, you will get the domain on Aug 21, 2008 ;)

Yup. Jamies right. Your going to have to pay for it at auction.

Yes, you may be faced with other people bidding on the same name as you. But if no-one bids and your the only one that bids then its yours :D
