Dreamhost - Reselling

Hello
Is it possible to resell space on a dreamhost account?
Can you make seperate users for them to log in to the control panel there?

Are there guides about this on their site?

No, it is not possible unless you setup some sort of affiliate program with them, but then that is just an affiliate program and you will not be concidered a "Hosting Business". Keep in mind the limitations that they place on your account. They are so strict that you will NEVER be able to use the space / bandwidth you pay for!

DreamHost does allow reselling

Acutally DH does allow you to resell your webspace, bandwidth etc.
You can create users and only allow them on a specifc Domain or domains.

I do this all the time. No I do not work for DH or know anyone there. I've been with them for two years now and never had an issue with them. Their support is great and I have an enourmous amout of web space and bandwidth which is growing every week.

For less than 300 a year you can't beat DH.

Well, I pay 90 Euro per year at Servage and thats my actual package

Total Disk Space: 113154 MB Allowed Transfer: 1110 GB

They also alow unlimited domains.

Not sure, if DM can beat that.

Anyway, I just post it to show that not only DH promotes with skyhigh and probably unrealistic packages.

I have 22.8gb of space (increasing by 0.2 gig a week) and 1168gb (increasing by 8gig a week) of transfer, for $190 for 2 years.

Mhm, sounds good. The cpanel/WHM reseller acccount that I mainly use costs me 35 $ monthly. And I get for that money 25 GB webspace and 400 GB bandwith. Perhaps I pay too much...

Well, Dreamhost doesn't use cPanel or WHM and you can't really resell very well, you can't give certain quotas to the new users.

You can give quotas i think, i know i've given a quota of a few gb to a mate whos hosting his site on my account (but he has his own user account etc)

I am going to look into that I am very interested. I might be able to flog off some space. for free of course I would never charge to use dreamhost bandwidth.
