[Tempest]

O.K. first things first... this is my first site ever... I admit, I did use a template from a free template site. However I think it suites the name well.

Please leave comments about a couple things for me please
1. Font style (color, face, etc) does it look ok
2. Images - did they load quick enough, are they crisp enough
3. overall - does it look well presented ?

The links are not working at this moment becuase I want to make sure it's overall something that I should continue with... thank you

i think you need more experience for a design site, than that.

I think I'll have to agree with mxtmpx. You might want to wait a few years before going into competition professional designers
The site over all is not too bad, but i'm note sure it really speaks the language of professional web designing just yet... I'm not saying you don't stand a chanse of getting customers - I'm sure you do. But it will be tricky to try and make money by offering template sites and unexperienced designers.

Ok i really don't understand. If you had to use a template you downloaded from some where how do you plan on designing sites for people? Downloading more templates and selling them? Or did you just make the site for a couple designers? I wouldn't really understand that either because the designers should be able to make their own site.

Dude.. it's a text file, and displays improperly in 95% of browsers. Change the MIME type.

Becuase I'm using Angelfire the html source shows up as the page being viewed instead of the page itself. This is due to Angelfire being really bad at not recognizing .html documents.

Dont get discouraged at all man...
I think if this is a template you got, its a bad template to have picked.. but I know many designers that used a template site for their own.
I myself almost did.. I am too swamped with design orders from clients to take time to due my own, I would lose out big if I spent time on my own site so I almost opted for a template.
It doesnt take years either.. I have been doing it for 2 and make a good amount that this is now my full time job.. i focus on my local market.
I would a little about style if I were you, experiment with font types, colors, and layouts. If I were you I would find about 10 websites you really like and copy each of them to learn what style is.

For example
Arial, Veranda look great on any page... experiment with bold and differnt font sizes.
Blue and white also go great on websites, especially corporate and business
Try to do sites with less tech and more function built in for simplicity , simple sites are the best

I have 2 other people that will be doing my images as contractors... secondly I would do the images myself, but for the next couple of months, I dont have a computer becuase I'm in between houses right now and the only computer I have is at work.

I had a job in adult website design as a project manager for almost 3 years, but the company went under becuase of the sub contractors not doing anything that they said they would do.

I can make images, but I would like the site up before the new year, and I have to spend time worrying about other peoples sites right now.

If you look down in the bottom right hand corner of every post there's a Report button, if you find an out of control thread/member this is how you can notify a moderator about it rather than waiting for one to notice.

yeah that is what happens, thats becuase angelfire isn't good at all. I dont have money for a .com address though
