Yes that's right..Everywhere I go to get my site reviewed, they say it is bad. It was my first website and I had used Frontpage to make it. How can I get over the design without having to move the whole site into another template. It is too much work..
My website
The borders can change easily, however I have not used css style sheets for any of the headings or content...
Maybe I am left with this design to haunt me.

One guy said that my site was ugly!! That's ok. I can handle it..

Any ideas would be appreciated.. I won't cry

You have already given yourself all the answers. The site doesn't look comparable and competitive to other sites of this nature and in today's parameters and expectations of design.
It seems to work for you, though. You have PR4 with 431978 Alexa rank, which indicates that you receive quite some traffic. What would be interesting to find out is what your users are looking for and how much revenue the site is generating for you. Which are the most clicked links, how much time do users spend on your site, etc.
In order to improve your site, you would really have to consider changing it from the ground up.
- Logo
- Design/Layout
- Functionality/Navigation
- Content
- User interaction
- Interactivity

The question is whether you want to do the work or if you see the need to do the work to improve. If the site does what it needs to do and generates enough for you to be satisfied with, then there's no reason to consider improvements.

The problem is that I don't think I get that much traffic.. Not that I am an expert.. From the stats I think I am getting 100 a day, sometimes 200.. The adsense is not making much money at all but the whol site has only been there for 3 months.. I still have to move the adsense around... It all takes so much time.. I really don't know how everyone does it.

As for starting from scratch...your right...but OMG..That is some work... I will have to do something because it really isn't doing what it should..

I have another host with fantastico, If i moved it over there would the page rank stay with the name?

The main investment in site design is always "time". There are a few quick solutions, but many of these will have to be tweaked to satisfy the project. It's unavoidable to invest the time to actually get the project to where you want it to be. The only option out, is to pay someone to do it for you, which can get quite pricey.

If you move your site, the PR won't change, it's going to remain the same. It's calculated by Google and pertains to your domain with associated backlinks, not where your site is hosted at.

Thanks for your help and info Mike..
I am glad if I do decide to move that the rank will go also. I wish there was some other way, but I suspected there wasn't, because it is such a mess!!!
