That's pretty old news already and since that video started doing the rounds nothing has happened yet. They had better get moving because before you know it this year will be over again. Remember it's already April so a third of the year is gone byebye already. I am starting to think that unfortunately it's game over for .Mobi. Lots of hot-air and BS talk from Mtld but there's no real progress at all. No campaign to create consumer awareness, none of the so-called backers showing any signs of actively using or promoting .Mobi. No more news on any of the premium words being auctioned off again soon, nothing, ZILCH,NADA. I am FED up with the whole .MOBI hype and I am not the only one. Just look at the rush on the .Mobi Marketplace section to dump .Mobi's. It's fizzled out and I wonder what the fat cats at Mtld are actually doing about getting the .Mobi show on the road.They have generated millions of $$$ with regs and started up some stuff like Mobile Atlas and .Mobi development guides but further then that nothing. And if they have done more then that then they arent reporting it and why I wouldn't know.I just get the impression that bugger-all is really happening whilst the mobile industry as a whole is moving ahead at a rapid pace. .mobi is never mentioned at all and not one of the backers is showing any sign of ever promoting .mobi at all. Instead mobile sites are springing up all over but they are mostly .M.com's And when one asks Mtld what's happening you just get sweet-talked .
So Trey says 2008 is gonna be the BIG year for .MOBI. Yeah Right! We will see. But I for one dont believe it any more.
