Wakefield, RI March 1, 2004 --DotCom Cowboy, a leading buyer of generic internet domain names, today announced it changed its name to Daddy Halbucks.

CEO Harold A. Meyer III explained, "In honor of surpassing 4000 domains in our portfolio, and in recognition of our willingness to spend alot of money to buy domains, we decided to change the name of our domain acquisition arm to Daddy Halbucks. Some family, friends, and customers were already calling me Daddy Halbucks and it seemed to be a fun and fitting moniker."

Meyer continued, "We are already the largest domain name owner in the state of Rhode Island, as far as I know, but keep in mind it is a small state. Hopefully, the growth can continue, and we can conquer larger lands in the future."

Through its affiliate NAMING SYSTEMS, one of their core competencies is naming, branding, and corporate identity services --and in this instance they decided to apply it at home.

I don't think so.

1. My name was not pilfered from them, it was derived from "Daddy Warbucks" which long long preceded all of us

2. My logo, which is coming soon, is alot different than theirs. There is no likelihood of confusion.

3. I am an investor, not a registrar, meaning different services, again reducing the likelihood of confusion

4. "Daddy" is a common word

5. The marks are not identical
