Not sure how, but PokerRoom.Online and PokerRooms.Online slipped through preregistrations and they're not even premium (amazingly), so I nabbed 'em!

Given that poker rooms are originally an "offline" concept and because most poker sites are essentially "rooms" and they call themselves that, I think I made out with a couple of nice ones.

What .Online domains did you get?

Since no one mentioned it I assume Godaddy didn't send refunds for lost auctions yet?
Kind of weird - last time I preordered some names I received a refund the same day...

Have you tried emailing them? Maybe they can give you an answer....

Just got home from DomainFest Vancouver and as promised here is my feedback from that venue.

I had a chance to talk with Kevin Ham about his thoughts on .Online and "new" extensions in general. In a nutshell, he felt that money could be made on any new extension but.com and.org were top of the pile with.net a close second. (That surprised me)

He equated domains to real estate and considered the new extensions to be suburbs....and.com the city center. Real estate is always more expensive in the city, but the city has much more traffic than the suburbs. So..... He did not have anything bad to say about.online or any of the other new extensions but he did say that obviously it's going to take a lot more effort to sell or develop/monetize a "suburb" then a.com.

He is a very polite, honest and down-to-earth genuinely cool guy! Super easy to talk to, and just really really nice.

I also spoke to several other domainers and some developers as well as a new registrar about their thoughts.... Everybody felt that it was a promising extension with good potential but too early to commit one way or another. A few had registered some names and a few of them had not registered any but we're watching closely....and I suppose the registrar was just hoping everybody would switch over to his service. LOL

So, I'm not sure how much info I've added here or if it's of help to anybody but that's about all I found out this evening about this particular extension.

I learned lots of other things at this gathering from Kevin and the others but they're not for this thread, therefore I will end my post with that!

Old City Center will be good for history books and tourists, really business will be in new suburbans and new city centers ( it will take time)

More like trying to start up little towns in the Wild Wild West, many just become ghost towns. Roads, post office, schools, electricity etc. need to be developed. Without development, the towns die. Some towns are bringing in people by the busload, free or cheap tickets. Someone starts a lemonade stand and they all get excited. Somebody starts a movie theater and they all get excited. They go into theater and wonder where the movies are. They say wait 5,10,15 years, maybe they'll get some.

Well.... His exact words were that the suburbs are nice and healthier and probably a better place to live than a polluted city but usually they are an hour or two or three outside of the city center.....very desirable but not as convenient.
He admitted that he was.com all the way and that all he held was.com and .org and .net but that he held more .org than net.

He currently has YJ.com at auction on 4.cn (if anyone is interested)
It is up over $800,000 so far but has not yet met reserve....

Ha, this sounds just like how Las Vegas started. That seemed to work out ok, after...their first 5, 10, 15 years.

So .web might be Vegas, .club maybe Reno. The rest maybe ghost towns. Of course those cities actually grew each year, a lot of these start falling apart after year 1. It's been over a year and a half and it looks like .club is the only one getting consistent sales. 6 out the top 20 non .com gtlds

No problem. .world, averaging 1 reported sale a month this year, watch out now. And all the .top reported sales from Jiangsu Bangning. I guess those are all registry sales, so they're the only ones killing it. Maybe one day somebody from NP can get a .top sale from what they left over.

Looks like Sedo fixed their mistake of giving it Top Domain Listing (it's now gone) and calling it an IDN.

Well, it has only been two weeks for .online
It will knocked .club out of Reno but .web will probably be Vegas.
