I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Looks like Mattamy.ca sold to Mattamy Homes.

I remember seeing this on the TBR list earlier this year (it went real late, like 70's or 80's), as I hate TM domains and the companies tend to be psycho-lawyer-crackheads in general, but it looks like the risk paid off for someone.

Either that or the lawyers got him or her.

No change in KEC.CA, still at $200 - it may explode at the end, but I was a bit surprised to see it hit a post-auction.

81 .CA domains taken, all 3 of our Top Picks went in the top 10, but some very strange ones right at the top:

First Pick: GFJ.CA - must be a company wanting that, right? The only thing I could find was Good Food Junction (GFJ) but they closed down.
Second Pick: PalomaDawkins.ca - a Canadian artist who looks like she let it drop.
Fourth Pick: DONER.ca - Did they think it was DONOR or is it for a Shawarma restaurant?

In terms of the Top 10 picks, Sibername won this week with 3 (and early ones - 1, 5 & 6), though Pool also got 3 (but later ones - 3, 7 & 10), and MyID took 2 (8 & 9).

I am not a fan of hyphen related domains but I really like this one. I think it suits the name perfectly. Iโ€™m kinda surprised it was available for a hand reg.

I am looking to register a few .ca. Am I correct that Rebel at $4.50 has the best deal on now, or is there something else. WHC have one at $1 but it does not apply to me as an existing customer. Thanks.

Yes, outside of special offers, Rebel.ca is the best right now.

rebel promo is only limited to 10 names :)

so this promo is probably over for most people here by now :)

Nothing too exciting on this weeks list. I guess one could get compatible.ca and make yet another dating site! :P

Yeah, this is the first week in a long time that I didn't even lay down a reservation.

I foresee a weak turnout, maybe in the 60-70 range, but knowing my predictions, the results will be over 100.

I will say 81 will be grabbed. ;)

I havenโ€™t been in a TBR in a while. I use to be fairly active. I am finding that with a lot of these TBR names, the prices are way overpaid. Yet if you try and sell that same name on here, you wouldnโ€™t get a bite. Itโ€™s funny how that works.

I'll guess 72 (I wanted to guess 69, but you know).

As for TBR prices, it's all over the place and I see nice names being picked up late for cheap yet other ones for for big bucks at auction and I don't see much ROI.

The domain market is a weird one, and I've picked up stuff that I was sure was going to sell, that didn't, while a few of my $1 Deals have went for 4-figures 8 months to a year later. I never buy anything I don't like, but some of it is so random.

I do try and stick to my own advice of "Treat the .CA market like the top 10% of the .COM market", which essentially means concentrating on the short, good stuff, while trying not to spend a lot getting it.

Has anyone made a good marketplace for .ca domains yet? I have some good keywords and firstnames that I'd like to sell off
