Anyone have any experience with 'Adult' .ca names? I have Lewd.ca and was thinking about developing but I have no experience in that realm. I was thinking more along the lines of dirty jokes, memes, etc... not actual porn, but not sure about ads and stuff like that. Anyway, any advice or pointers, examples, etc... are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Nice LLLL in any extension!
Interesting stats about the "adult" industry https://fightthenewdrug.org/by-the-numbers-see-how-many-people-are-watching-porn-today/

It was good for me..real good! But totally out except P0rn(dot)ca..closest that I could get towards the actual word lol

PS... We have passed the .io thread in replies (y)

.co..... we are coming for you :giggle::giggle::giggle:
Nice!
too bad @whitebark (the original thread starter) still wasn't active, he sure knew his stuff and early pioneer in promoting of (dot)ca's !!

Whitebark was a very good guy to have around. I think he had some kind of health issues at some point.

His website www.whitebark.ca is active as of May this year.

I couldn't say no to
rรฉalitรฉmixte . ca (MixedReality in English)
also got it in .com

Also have the VR version in dot com so this will complement it nicely.

Open to offers of purchase or brokering assistance!

You might be sitting on that one for a while, you would have to market it in Quebec and they use
Hey I was just cruising around Vancouver and saw this Resturant sign
Freshii

Thought you would like to see the double i, โ€œiiโ€

They are everywhere in Ontario

I just turned down an offer of $250 for IrishWhiskey.ca

and recently turned down an offer of $400 for Leaves.ca

your thoughts?

Who is positioning themselves in the Crypto domain space?

I just picked up

DigiSafe.ca and in the .co
DigiStorage.ca and in the.co

digital safes and storage devices for the cryptocoins is strong niche i think? what do you think?

thanx Dan

Nice names! I would actually see them working well beyond crypto. For example, a company that helps protect your reputation online, or child controls, etc. might brand with DigiSafe, while any kind of online storage of photos, etc. could potentially use DigiStorage. Best of luck with them, Dan!

With legalization approved and impending, I like Leaves. If they want it, they'll come back with a higher offer.

Leaves 5k min
IrishWhiskey 2.5

Both are specialty and anyone making irish whiskey will eventually cough it up.

I would come back to the whiskey guy and tell him he can add it to his advertising budget and it's cheaper than a couple of newspaper ads.

You were right to turn them down. They are both $xxxx names. IrishWhiskey is the better of the two IMHO,although there is another spelling that could be used as an alternative.

I think in the current market leaves might be worth more

I own leafit.com and have turned down numerous offers under 10k

Anything leaf is fairly hot right now

Got an anonymous offer for airpass(dot)ca for 3.5k yesterday

I airpassed and came back at 5k :xf.laugh:

That's the fourth hit on that one and I quoted 5k to everyone. At one point someone is going to have to bite the bullet and pony up the cash.

My thought is that you should at least respond to the offer with a BIN price. Most of my sales started off with lowball offers, but where eventually negotiated down to an acceptable sales price.

Leaves 5k min

IrishWhiskey 2.5

I think @MapleDots prices would be good BIN prices to counter with, or bit higher and negotiate down to those prices :)

Thanx Sella, I did counter with BINS in that price range but they both said they have been in the "online" industry for a long time and know the value of names and my prices were way to high, so I move on.. wait for the next low ball, lol

I am almost done with Afternic as well i get countless request for prices and never hear anything back, and most of the inquiries are for names about to expire.

I was looking at some names i was going to drop, i have listed them on here in the past with no interest but.

DomainDrops.ca
DomainService.ca
DomainBrand.ca

I think these are some decent names for building a real business around and yet can't move them.

should i drop or hold?

I find afternic a waste of time, don't ask me for a price. I have minimum at 1k with make offer.

Please let us know the price we may have a client but he is not ready to make an offer.

Well then PLEASE leave me alone, to start the process you MUST make a 1k offer, other than that YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME.

I'm about to remove everything from afternic.

The names are quite niche specific, so finding a buyer might be hard. I'd probably drop them... but go with your gut feeling :) If you can find some better hand regs, drop these and try something new :)

Curious what the pros find is the best after market for their .ca domains?

Flaws and fees aside where does everyone find the majority of their .ca sales coming from?

1
•••
Iโ€™m in no way a pro! But seems like unless you have some ultra premium domains the majority of sales on a consistent basis would be boots on the ground, doing out bound marketing.
Putting in the time to reach out to potential buyers.
