Hi, newbie first time poster. I registered this domain name with hopes of one day running a business off of it, but that idea has been on the back burner for some time. Out of the blue yesterday someone asked if I would be interested in selling it as they wanted the name for the same purpose. I told them to make me an offer, and they threw the ball right back in my court asking me to make one. I'm kind of stuck where to go now as I could use the cash, but this is also still the perfect name for the business I had in mind, even if nobody else agrees. Then again, I'm a total newbie and could really use an appraisal or two. I only threw in the back story to show that someone has shown interest, even though I don't know if that goes into your criteria or not. Ok, enough rambling. Please help.

Well ask yourself how much would make you happy today, knowing someone could develop this name, and I don't know sounds kind of porn related, and make a steady income off it, would you be kicking yourself, or could you take what you sold it for, and be content. I don't know your cost factor, but if it was me, I would ask for $1000 and see where they counter, or if they counter.......

Thanks for the post. Knowing someone could be running a profitable site with the same product/domain name combo I had in mind, I'd be satisfied with $1000, but I'd start getting sellers remorse pretty quickly as it drops below that. So saying $1000 is satisfactory, should I ask for 1250 or 1500 in hopes of settling for 1000, offer $1000 firm, or offer 1000 and see what kind of counter-offer is made. Maybe ask for more to get a number that would make me happy? I'm going to wait until Monday to respond so any suggestions before then are welcome. I know nothing about domain name negotiations.

By the way, I wasn't thinking porn related or even dirty games related. More like selling indoor versions of bean bag toss(cornhole) , washers, etc. Maybe some stuff related to drinking games like beer pong tables. Hand built stuff at first plus eventually selling brand name dartboards, fuse ball, air hockey, etc if the site ever took off. Games played in dorm rooms. I'm assuming someone willing to pay $1000+ would want the name for its direct meaning and do a similar site.

Yeah, you have an end user on your hands. If you will be satisfied with $1000, then start off with $1500 at least. Also, do you know the buyer personally, is he wealthy / capable of paying more ? if yes, then adjust your asking price accordingly.
