This thread is to share domains you've Won at Auction or Bought at Closeout

Closeout = After auction but before completely dropping from registrar and before going into redemption.

I *HIGHLY* suggest to post only after the domain is transferred *INTO* your account!

Go here if it's a domain you bought that was available at anytime for "hand registration": Your Reg of the Day
Go here if it's a domain you snapped / "drop-catched" after "Pending Delete": Your Snap of the Day

Feel free to disguise the domain like Slash // dot // com or any o|t|h|e|r w a y you want.
IMPORTANT: *If* someone does disguise their name, please respect them by quoting them directly, or copy/paste them directly.

Things to optionally include (or just simply post the domain name):

  1. What you paid for the domain(s), or the price range, or no price info at all.
  2. Any information, reasons or hard data (traffic, CPC, etc) that lead you to buy the domain(s).
  3. Where (or who) you acquired the domain from.
  4. How many other bidders there were.
  5. Whether the domain was "expired" or not.
  6. Whether the domain was at "closeout" or not.
  7. The history of the domain.
  8. What you see the domain being used for.
  9. Who a potential buyer could be.
  10. Anything else you want to share .. these are just possible ideas not "rules" ;)

RegistrationBooth // dot // com
I love this brand as a service that helps you register people for any kind of event you might be planning. There are countless thousands upon thousands and likely millions of events from small to large each year. Most aren't big enough to have their own merchant services accounts, credit card processing etc. This is the perfect name to offer such outsourcing services!

AdvancedCoder // dot // com
Another obvious no-brainer domain. Where do you find coders for your complex and advanced level projects? At AdvancedCoder // dot // com obviously! ;)

Erika // dot // biz
I like short female names as brands even in non-coms as long as they are common names that are easy to spell!

FLYING // PRINCESS // dot // com
Nice one .. That was on my daily list of domains at auction just the other day! :)

Dog lovers will do just about anything for their little furry companions (myself included). I might even keep this for myself .. but won't say no if someone eventually makes me a nice offer! :)

PayPerView // dot // biz
I already own the org ... Pay Per View is a multi-BILLION dollar industry. The .com is owned and used .. so I really like the value of holding both .org and .biz! :)

vMeetup // dot // com
Short for Virtual Meetup .. I love this as a brand for upcoming virtual reality. You know it's just a matter of time before matchmaking goes virtual. When in context I like the use of "V" even more than "VR"! :)

FightBoring // dot // com
Fantastic call-to-action marketing name here. It's a tagline that could be used for almost anything in the entertainment, event or activity/hobby industries!

FuelingTheWorld // dot // com
I love this as a tagline / marketing name. Could work for anything related to energy (actual fuel or solar) or could also be related to food or supplements/vitamins!

Ceejo // dot // com
Nice clean pronounceable 5L .. rather like this one! :)

Seinfeld, Friends, etc .. Great for an entire decade of TV shows! :)

UltimateHoroscope // dot // com
Psychics are big business both online and off. This makes a great brand for either! :)

ScreamingBeagle // dot // com
Just a really cool and fun sounding animal brand.

A1Offices // dot // com
This will make a fantastic brand in the ever growing shared office spaces. As more and more entrepreneurs start businesses all over the world .. the need for managed office spaces is only going to explode. "A1" puts it at the top of just about every alphabetical listing. Plus while there is a number in it .. everyone always knows it's A1 and not AOne .. so it definitely passes the radio test as well! :)

WonderMultimedia // dot // com
Just an amazing media brand. So good I don't even need to explain it! lol

Kluvu // dot // com
I like this one as a nice strong sounding 5L. It's a brandable that could be used for just about anything.

CuisineTravel // dot // com
This travel niche certainly has money behind it. People who travel specifically to check out the cuisine definitely fall into the higher $$$ brackets. Travel most certainly is one of the stronger keywords where finding good associated target keyword can still hold a lot of value.

oolox // dot // com
I like how this is pronounced. Nice clean and simple 5L that actually passes the radio test. I also like double O's together as they can easily be made into smiley faces for the logo! :)

RedHexagon // dot // com
I really love this as a brand. Open to be any kind of business .. and obviously a nice simple red hexagon makes deciding on a logo a very easy decision! :)

Moijo // dot // com
Another nice pronounceable 5L to add to my collection! lol

Really like RedHexagon as brand @Ategy.com ! As you say, it's a no-brainer about the logo... Was this an expired auction or did you actually manage to score this gem in the closeouts?!

swear // dot // info - just won it at an auction site with minimal cost with no other bidders!!! A minimal investment for me, looking for a quick turnaround or I will build a website dedicated for "swear words".

I managed to grab a good, brandable domain sometime back.

OfficeTelephony // dot // com
Totally in love with this one. Phone service for business is a massive business. Even better is that this one is timeless in that it could represent old copper wire phonelines, VOIP, or whatever is coming next.

TravailADistance // dot // com
The literal translation in French means work from a distance. But the term is actually what is used for "Work From Home", essentially one of the biggest work trends there is at the moment. What's great about this is that working from home still requires a lot of specialised services/software, both for actually getting work done, but also for corporations to track the hours and make sure their workers are putting in the hours. I think it's a strong enough term to be worth grabbing in French.

BoiteDeNuit // dot // com
Again another French term where the literal translation (Night Box) doesn't make much sense. But "Boite De Nuit" is the exact term most commonly used for "Night Club". Another huge industry with tons of money floating around. It's actually a huge keyword and certainly worth grabbing in French! :)

lol .. I don't usually post that info publicly here in case a potential buyer sees I got a domain cheap. You also need to factor in the fact that I spend a couple hours a night going through the lists .. that in itself is a cost. But there are regularly names like this which slip through the cracks of auction .. even slipping through closeout to $5. I've got too many names to manage at this point, so I'm sharing and posting lots of similar goodies in my daily lists. I used to hold back about 25% of names on my personal list from the lists I share .. but that number is down below 5%. I deliberately list some domains of interest that might not necessarily be worth grabbing (in my opinion), but you'll definitely find some gems with zero bids in there each day .. check it out if you haven't already! :)
If you want to know the exact price I paid for Red Hexagon, feel free to PM me! :)

Amazing marketing domain!

MJBNB // dot // com
Marijuana Bed and Breakfast ... because if they don't exist already .. they definitely will!

Yvata // dot // com
Amazing pronounceable 5L that feels like a female and techie name at the same time (rhymes with Data). So has benefits of that .. while also being unique!

A1Renovation // dot // com
Similar to A1Offices I posted above ... "A1" puts it at the top of just about every alphabetical listing. Plus while there is a number in it .. everyone always knows it's A1 and not AOne .. so it definitely passes the radio test as well! Add to that the fact that the renovation industry is absolutely monster huge .. all together makes for a great domain! :)

GotDoob // dot // com
I love this one as cannabis legalisation continues to spread (only a few months to go here in Canada). I see this as a fun marketing domain similar to GotMilk! :)

MafiaCouture // dot // com
Fashion is likely one of the few industries where the "Mafia" keyword is usable. I think this makes for a great brand in that industry where branding is pretty much everything! :)

I think I dropped this one long ago :) Maybe it's too generic.
