Domains you bought but never developed?

What do you do about domains you bought months ago and thought they had potential, but never got around to developing them into the site you wanted?

Do you keep them in hopes of using them for the future, or sell them?

I either ebay them to recover my reg fee or just let them expire. On occasions I give them away as well in hopes someone else can find a better use for them.

I guess it depends on the domain names and what you think they're worth vs. the cost of renewal. It is certainly better to have names you bought and never developed than names you developed but never bought

Of course there are some free web hosting accounts that do not require you display ads on your pages, but most of them after a year or so, begin displaying ads.

Hmm I'm not sure. Recently I've either only been buying higher end LLLL.coms for the future, or buying to directly develop them within a day or two (well, start developing them)

But I guess if I bought one then left it, I'd either try and sell it or renew it if I thought it had potential.

I contact potential end users to try to sell them.
