i recently sold a 6L .com for high $xxxx. it was first registered in 2001. after being passed around between domainers for 20 years it was finally bought by an enduser. that will give you some idea how long it takes for a name to sell if it sells at all.

    100% agreed!

Hopefully, Domaining is not the only thing I'm working on! As I said, I'll try to at least lower my loss, but I have no expectations. One can always hope!

Jeez, 20 years for thousands $ ... So basically it's more of a lottery than anything? You buy domains that you think are good, then hope that a like-minded person buys them.

Following that mindset, you'd need 1. SUPER good domains or 2. like thousands domains, to make a living out of this no?

It is meant to be condesending as whole post needs a wake up call. It doesn't have to be constructive it can be criticised.

    1. cashjinn - dropped for a reason
    2. gamedivisions - GameDivision is for sale (2006 >)
    3. globaleffective & globaleffectives - EffectiveGlobal is registered GlobalEffectiveness is for sale
    4. globalresponsible - global responsible (missing the ending: ...what?), GlobalResponsibility parked for ages and for sale, GloballyResponsible dev. in use.
    5. guiltygames - guiltygame is for sale (2012 > etc, 2018 >)
    6. instant-lenders - instantlenders (2002 >) is for sale & instantlender is registered
    7. megamoneyslots - free apps don't need expensive domains (not a brand name vs MegaMoneyGames)
    8. silverstarpoker - for years nothing/in petabox, Silver Star Poker (casino) rebrands as PearlRiverPoker
Level-Up your mindset (Every end-user needs an audience. The audience is ...?: business $$$ + > or private/fun/minime/ etc < - $$$). Always, check the history and similarities.

    Regards

GuiltyGmaes you can price tag at $999 and be ready to wait. Honestly, it's not of an exceptional quality, but MIGHT sell, as I mentioned. The rest pretty much doesn't matter how you price, cause there is a very small chance of selling...

buy a domain that other people want. Buy the domains that other domain investors want. Not hand regs. Your better off taking $500-$1000 and buying something good then spending that much on hand reg names. Here is what i would do:

    1. stick to .com
    2. dont hand reg
    3. buy 1-2 good names
    4. focus on names that are registered in 10+ extensions and are developed in at least a few of those. Your best bet when doing the sit and wait approach or outbound approach is to invest in something that will be an upgrade for the buyer.
    5. visit AbdulBasit.com and read every article he has.

If your going the brandable route and want to sell on a marketplace like squadhelp, save yourself a lot of hassle registering domains and submitting only to rejected. Go to their wholesale marketplace and buy names that are already approved/listed for $20-$50 each.

    6. DONT BE CHEAP. you get what you pay for. focus on the quality. lastly, think to yourself, "would i name my company that"?

    One week?
That's a joke. I've been selling some not-so-bad domains in my portfolio for a couple of years. Yes, views, low ball offers, but no sale.
    So, get used to it.

You have had (9) domains listed for a week. The average end user sell-through rate is normally considered to be 1% - 2% a year.

With the average sell-through rate it could take a decade to sell one domain.

    You need realistic expectations.

You really need quality and quantity if you want to build a successful business based on selling domains.

As you make sales, you re-invest and over time and your portfolio grows organically.

This game is measured in years and decades, not days, weeks, months....

It could take years selling even a great name for its value to the right buyer...

Realistically your first sale won't come a year . Do have an outboubounding strategy? Any plan on who to target with current acquisitions?

Not really no, I need to review all of that... it's not what I thought it was! It's ok though, mistakes make you grow!

This learning attitude will help you go far in domaining. I also think selling one of them may give you back the reg fee you paid for everything

    Thank you :)!

I do hope to sell one haha. I listed all of them at 100$ except GuiltyGames, which I feel could be worth more than that...
