Do you think all domainers are also webmasters? I personally trade domains and also develop some of those, but is there anyone who only trade domains and not develop them (a pure domainer)?

Honestly I believe there's quite a number of 'pure domainers', people who trade sell and only park their domains.

I was under the impression that most of the people here are strictly domainers. I for one prefer to develope, but that is only because I don't have enough cash to buy a name that gets traffic on its own. ;)

agreed,

I think he may really wanna knowing the percentage for each one :)

for me right now - 80% developer - 20% domainer.

Future plans - 95% developer - 05% domainer (for future proofing, cash flow, fun)

I think domaining and developing go hand in hand - I generally take the word 'domaining' to mean both actually

Edit: I'm suggesting that what defines us is volume. If you have 1 or 2 domains - you would hardly be a domainer... just like if you ran one bare bones website and did no authoring yourself... you'd hardly be a developer I guess

Hello,
For me both, webmasters (or something related to websites) and domainers...

No, I've heard of people here on NP that purely focus just on domaining only

If you have been buying domains for many years or have a lot of money, you can afford to be only a domainer.

only 1% of the money for developping, but it takes 50% of the time to setup mini-sites.

If you develop a minisite because you don't earn anything from parking, does that make you a non-pure domainer? I think not.

Was a developer for 10 years...self-taught, became a domainer too last year...took me long enough eh? :hehe:

I would definitely prefer to just buy and sell domains, but I've picked up a little PHP knowledge this summer and it's freakin addicting, so I guess you can consider me 90% 10%
