I made the mistake of developing in the 90's when the landgrab was in full swing, if I'd put 10% of the time and effort into domaining I'd certainly be better off now.
At this point I am mainly a developer. I have gotten to the point that I will only buy or register a domain if I have a plan to put a website up on that topic.
Both. So far have sold 2 developed names for low XXXX. Design and develop, then do basic promotions, wait for 3 months.. and sold it at Sitepoint. :D Good business!
LaZy developer Takes me about 6 months minimum to dev a name, but I do a good job most of the time in the end. I don't develop 99% of my names. Then again, I don't park many of my names and after 9 years, I'm in the process of selling my first name right now -- actually, it's the first name I've even made a serious attempt to sell... I guess that just makes me Lazy all around
I'm mainly a buyer, would like to be a seller/flipper one day
Ended up parkig 90% of my domains with moderate to ridiculous results.
Installed a few canned scripts/forums on 10% of my domains. This can hardly be referred to as developing...
