Hello,
Based in the EU, am thinking whether registering a company to handle the buying and selling of domains would make sense.
I am contemplating the following benefits:
- if the company has corresponding sales, VAT can be balanced
- relative privacy
- could be regarded as more professional (if contracts/communication/escrow going through a legal entity)
Cons: expenses for accounting, submission of financial statements. Possibly more taxes, depending on country?
Would be interesting to read your experiences and thoughts, not necessarily geographically limited to the EU.

Cons: There aren't tax benefits in the United States if you're a one-person show (sole proprietor). Expenses are still tax deductible if they're for business purposes, and that doesn't necessitate a business entity. Worse, it'll cost you more money to have that business entity. In just about every state, your information is a phone call or website lookup away (privacy isn't a benefit). The EU may be different?

Pros: It feels professional and prepares your business for expansion (hiring employees). Business cards are sexier! :xf.love:
