After just watching a programme on tv tonight and then going to visit the wrong website I just cannot beleive that "domainers" would register the name of a 4 year old girl who went missing on May 3, 2007 and then just park them to "try" and make money off it.

JUST WTF ARE YOU THINKING ? HOW COULD YOU ??

This goes right along with those who register tragedies. Everytime their is some disaster, every possible domain is regged and attempted to monetize. Its pathetic and a bad mark on our industry.

I am not having a go at domainers in general, just hoping to make a few newer domainers stop and think before they register names like that, the three examples above are about as low as it can go IMO and just made me very P***** off

After 2 years the girl is still missing and people are still actively looking for her until she is found either dead or alive and these three ****** are diverting traffic to a friggin PPC page.

can't anything be done to their domain since they were regged in "bad faith" and their intentions were clearly to make money off a tragedy. Like get the domain registrar to ban the user and the domain or something? I don't know much domaining rules/laws so i dont know if this could be done?

A registrar would never ban anyone for registering a domain in bad faith. If they did that they would lose tons of money by banning fools for registering stupid and TM names.

well i didn't mean ban ppl for TM violations, its the users own fault for infringing TM's and that can be dealt with legally. But to bank in on domain names of missing/abducted kids? That's retarded and immoral. I'm sure if the owner of a domain registrar company had their kid abducted and found some fool regged their kid's name on their site, i bet they'd ban their ass right off the planet.
