DomainEasy Launches an Ambitious Platform That Offers a New Option for Fans of Departing DAN.com

With GoDaddy acquiring innovative domain sales platform DAN.com and merging it into their own Afternic.com, buyers and sellers saw one of their favorite venues go away, however new options are already starting to surface. One of the most promising among those, DomainEasy.com, has just launched with no commissions charged to domain sellers.

I've been playing around with it - it's a nice alternative.

They just need to flesh out the brandable design (needs option to add more colors in different places as its pretty white), add info like traffic/referrer stats, and needs camel case (it only capitalizes the first letter of the domain). I made a few custom pages to test out the features but haven't pointed any of my names to it.

Tried this one as well. Looks promising and has some good features, but domain management still beta and not ready for primetime, yet.

Will try again in the near future!

Fact is there are LOADS of viable alternatives to Dan.com. And most of them are a lot better than Afternic

The real problem is the 10% punishment that we let GoDaddy inflict on people who don't use their Nameservers.

That is the most EVIL part of killing off Dan.com.

With Dan.com, people had access to a decent platform without being punished with a fine.

Now GoDaddy is killing off a decent platform and FORCING people to use a shitty one or pay the price.

It's a real shame.

Does anyone know what payment methods are accepted, when do sellers get paid, how do they get paid... Didn't find it on the main website

I hope you like what we have built so far! :)

We just made an official post: https://www.namepros.com/threads/domaineasy-com-official-thread.1336838/#post-9266693

The DNJournal article was posted a bit early ;) as Ron had to post before the storm hit, since he's located in its path.

We had to rush a few things but will do our best to make sure your questions are answered in a timely manner.

We are very eager to get feedback on what we've created so far, as well as any feature requests.
ts.

Don't know why the founder didn't respond to this.

We don't accept crypto yet, but it's in the works, however we do accept credit cards, bank wire and paypal. We also accept transactions through escrow.com

Thank you for the feedback. All three of those features are currently being worked on.

How do you make money if sellers donโ€™t use brokers?

How do you make money if sellers donโ€™t use brokers?
We currently make money on lease to own sales. The seller makes 100% of the sale price of the domain (minus any credit card or payment fees) plus 50% of the service fee for leasing. We keep the other 50% of the service fee. We also plan to introduce a number of commission based features in the coming months. Our goal is to grow our user base and layer in commission based features over time.

Here's a 2016 interview that Michael Cyger had with the founder of DomainEasy, Sam Dennis.

Note the disclaimer below the video:

"This interview is promoted through a media partnership with DAN.com"
Great info thanks. Someone with 22k domains now starting an aftermarket platform good move but wonder where that leaves users looking to make a dent? Say there is a dn search/highlights vehicle in there, what will show what won't.
I like that we have a couple solutions to look forward to listings after Dan: NP and DE

btw looks like Domain Easy's X handle is @ domain_easy

This is OK but what about domain sellers that are also brokers. Can they register as both a broker and a seller?
