The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Why did you change it? Why did you move the form from the right to the left? And why did you move the 4 icons up into the color-filled section?
Agreed, looked better before on the right. Also miss the black header background, hopefully that'll be added as an option later?

I think you may want to consider how the pages look to buyers when they click from the lander to the buy now button. They start at a minimal lander (i saw one with the name in the middle). It's a nice minimal lander without branding that prominently displays the name, price and a variety of cc's accepted. Great start. (note this is not my name)

Now, I clicked the buy button. I am then presented with a page with a Domain Easy logo in different color scheme. It looks very weird to me. I have no idea who DomainEasy is (although as a buyer, I probably assume they are the ones who own and are selling this name). There is no description of who or what Domain Easy is. No faqs explaining why I should buy this name from them. No cc logos, no escrow logos, no trust logos of any kind. Just a blank page (jarring because I came from a different color scheme) and was dropped into a page that wants a lot of data (understandable because I'm about to buy). But perhaps too much. Perhaps some explanation is needed on this page. Who and what is DomainEasy. Keep the color scheme and page look/feel constant. Add some trust logos and or FAQs to give ease to the buyer as to why they should trust spending $10,000 or more on this page to a company I've never heard of.

as you can see, it almost looks like someone pushed me to another company but it goes unexplained.

Escrow.com buttons do something similar - but at least they have a little bit of a reputation among buyers. DomainEasy does not. It all feels slapped together and not in a good way. yes, the pages are clean - but have you ever seen shopping carts change this much?

Also - why inundate the buyer with 10 data capture fields. How about just starting with email to logon (or create account)? In this way, the page can be more about trust and why/who DE is and why they should enter their email.

It would also serve to capture the email so if they drop out at the next step, the buyer could contact them in the future.

You have nice clean landers but I think a rethink is in order re the process from a buyers perspective.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe DomainEasy was thrown together like a framework, with the idea to eventually go through the site step by step and refine, fix and finalize the entire thing. Almost like starting with a rough draft.

Thank you for your feedback. We are updating our checkout experience now as stated in an earlier post.

DomainEasy said: we are currently working on streamlining and adding additional functionality to our checkout process. It's our goal to create a robust checkout that is familiar and easy for buyers to navigate.

We made the changes based on a large amount of feedback from several different sources including namepros and many others. We are aware that not everyone is in favor of change which is one of the reasons that we will be building additional customization options into the seller dashboard which will allow sellers more options such as choosing where on a page specific sections will appear.

I'd only like to say, please don't change the Brandable lander like you did with the Default lander.

Taking feedback is great. Giving domainers options and multiple landers are great.

However, what you have cobbled together isn't confusing due to feedback. Each page is clean and crisp. It's the flow from a buyer who does not know domaining and does not know DomainEasy that trips the whole thing up. It should feel seamless to the buyer. It should feel safe. They should understand what they are buying, from who, and how it will be delivered. I'm not picking on you. It happens with NP landers and Aftermarket landers too (because they push to Escrow and Escrow's lander is also jarring). However, that is hard to fix as you have one company going to another. In your case it should not occur. It is going from one DomainEasy page to another. It should feel as such. It should feel just like with any other major e-comm site... you don't feel like you leave it. You feel you are simply entering a cart and the wrapper stays the same.

I'm not sure which updates you're referring to but we released some improvements to the advanced search today and will release some additional updates next week as well. We will be releasing the first stage of our checkout updates next week and the second stage after that. The lander text changes which were requested should also go live sometime next week.

Hello from Sam Dennis, DomainEasy founder and CEO

Just got back from Domain Days in Dubai!

Munir did such a wonderful job putting on a first class show and was so helpful in answering questions to the Dubai newbies like myself!

It was great to meet up with friends I have not seen for a while and also meet with current clients and investors. I am really looking forward to the coming year and building upon what we have accomplished so far.

VAT integration is being completed in both the first and second stages of the checkout update process so maybe the week after. I'm not sure of the exact timeline.

So now how do you deal with invoicing and vat?

VAT information is currently being collected manually by us after the sale, before we send invoices to the buyer and seller.

So, if i setup my domain with BIN and VAT have to be collected, you request a second payment for VAT only ?

News flash. I now have 587 active "Brandable" landers at DomainEasy; each featuring a unique logo created with ideogram.ai Pro.

@DomainEasy The currently active and configured maximum lease period is not always presented correctly when going into domain details. For example, a domain has an active LTO setting of 0-12 months. The lander shows 0-12 correctly, but in domain details it shows 37-60. Please investigate, thanks.

Sent you a PM as I can't reproduce the bug.

No. We would provide you with the relevant VAT information so you could remit it to the proper authorities. The invoices we provide would include totals that are adjusted to itemize the proper amounts of your earnings from the sale (after VAT has been subtracted) and the VAT amount to be remitted. For now you would need to adjust your original selling price to include the anticipated VAT amount if you are wanting to recoup it. Once our updated checkout is complete, you will have the option to automatically add the VAT amount to the original selling price at the time of checkout.
