Hello fellow NPers,

For those that don't know me I have been on NP for almost 15 years now on and off (under many different usernames) and have been investing in domains for almost 2 decades.

Within the last year I started participating more frequently in the community again and sharing my sales and advice as I started to build my own set of personal tools. My original reason was to avoid paying for several different subscriptions like I had been for years, but my primary goal and a passion project of mine has always been: How to solve the age-old question of "what is a good domain?" or "what makes a domain name valuable?"

Demand and data is the only way to truly answer this question, so DomainBFF's goal is to take as much subjectivity out of valuing domain names and make the domain buying process as objective as possible.

After a record breaking 2025, which I'll attribute 50% to the tools and 50% to the good karma for helping out fellow domainers wherever possible, I decided to really pursue this project and provide affordable tools to the domain industry and have been shipping features nonstop whenever I have any spare time.

DomainBFF has been live now for just over a month with over 400 subscribed users and 77 active paying members at the moment, so I feel confident that others are finding value in the tools and have committed much more time and resources to continuing to build out and strengthen the existing features, while still having several more in the works that I'm excited to finally launch soon.

Since I have posted about them everywhere except for where I really got started in this industry, right here on Namepros, I wanted to introduce the tools and how I use them for anyone that is new to domaining or doesn't have experience with other industry tools, and also open up discourse for anyone that has questions on them or wants to learn more.

Here is a guide on how I use them every single day

And while there are rate-limited free features on the website, there is also a coupon code in my signature for any NP member who wants to try them at 50% off - a value I don't think you can possibly beat!

Let me know if you ever have any questions and I look forward to releasing and announcing new features as they roll out.

Cheers and Happy Domaining!

Looks good!

And while there are rate-limited free features on the website..
The key features you’re promoting, like the Domain Leads Search and more, are locked behind the paid plan with no way to trial them.

Hmm there’s supposed to be a one search per day with a free account before paywall so I’ll have to look into that when I get back to my desk.

That’s one of the extremely expensive features on the backend per search, so it’s extremely protected from abuse. I may have accidentally overridden the free search feature when I secured it.

Edit to add here what I posted in the other thread:

Thank you for the kind words! If it can maintain itself without costing me too much out of pocket I will always continue to work on making it better and shipping new features. I have 2 others I'm working on now and potentially an appraisal partnership so that I can add a wholesale + retail appraisal to every search result, which I think would certify it as the best value on the market by a longshot (I already think it is) but I am always looking for feature requests as it's for the community at the end of the day.

I don’t plan on making profit from this project, and will always maintain the low price point, but the costs are just so high to offer everything I do right now with unlimited usage at one low price level.

My monthly costs alone requires hundreds of customers assuming the price point of $6/month using the 50off code in my signature. You would need to spend well over $100/month on other tools just to get the features it has now.

So while I wish it could be free, it’s running well below the monthly costs.

I just added more TLDs as well, and over the next 4 hours trend data will start to appear, showing not only the changes in registration data since I launched a little over a month back, but also a trends page where you can see what keywords are gaining in popularity or falling off. Another premium feature included in the same monthly price!

Always looking for new recommendations to add if anyone has a tool they'd like to see or feel is missing from the industry.

Let's hear from you!

The vast majority are from Domain X + Discord which I've learned almost none of them consistently use Namepros. It's a whole different world out there.

Consider adding a demo or a blog post with a real-life example, including a full breakdown and results.

As for now I have the guide page that walks through how everything works: https://domainbff.com/articles/domainbff-guide-data-backed-domain-investing

On X and Discord there has been a lot of requests for how I use the tools and plenty other ways that I handreg domains and use scripts for checking availability etc, so I plan on dropping a youtube series under DomainBFF to share things like how you can use GPT or excel concantenate to create lists of all the top keywords list that are sensical together, then use the name.com API for free to check availability of millions of domains using Python and end up with a CSV full of available names.

I have no shortage of ideas to share and will mix in how I use each DomainBFF feature with videos. In the meantime I'm still working on making sure every tool works to the best of its ability with as much data as possible.

As we speak I'm on hour 18 of indexing updated .com zone files so I still can't make any changes, but as soon as it's finished I will look into why there isn't one free search per day on the leads tool. Everything else (except top keywords for obvious reasons) should be able to be used with limitations for free.

Well this is embarrassing, but huge update to share..

If you tried DomainBFF in the last 1.5 months, specifically the domain generator, you were being served an old stale prompt. This has been fixed and while performing the fix - we decided to revamp the ENTIRE generator design so that you can search more domains faster with better results. We also worked out bugs in the search and bulk search features and things are now working flawlessly across the board.

The generator has a free (limited) option so please go try it out and see the prompt I was personally using the whole time while registering domains that led to now 9 sales in 7 months.

As an apology and token of appreciation I am offering 50% off for anyone that didn't get to experience the tools to their full potential and for any new members who haven't yet used them at all.

Use code OOPS50 at checkout and happy domaining!

I've had a few people DM me regarding trialing the Leads Search tool as a key piece that will get them to move over from DotDB - so I wanted to mass update everyone here.

-------------

I have not yet added a free version of the leads search as it's quite expensive, but I will be working on it this weekend to add a few trial searches as I plan to be snowed in due the weather.

That said, you should still get more value at the price level than at DotDb, but I understand wanting to try it out.

There is a screenshot of the leads search on the front page tool tips, but I understand getting hands on goes a lot further.

I will PM everyone once I have added X amount of free searches per month and post an update here.

Thank you so much to those of you in the community supporting - as I've stated many times this tool is a passion project, so as long as costs are covered I will keep building and adding as many tools as possible to benefit domainers w/o ever raising the price or usage restrictions.

Cheers!

Huge feature update for the outbound domainers:

The "Domain Leads Search" was originally just a way to validate demand by confirming if there were active businesses using the keywords in a domain name

Now whenever you search a domain name not only do you get the same results from a variety of different global business directories, but you also get enriched data for the leads so that you can outbound prospective domains or domains already in your portfolio.

It get's even better...Now when you click the "Download CSV" button - a spreadsheet containing all publicly available data for each business is downloaded immediately so you can get to work on prospecting and take notes all in one place.

As I've said and will continue to say, with your support, new and better features will continue to be released while the price always stays the same!

Thank you to everyone who has joined and PLEASE share any feedback or ideas for future tools as we will keep shipping and iterating to make these the best tools on the market.

Just shipped more massive features!

You can now track 500 SLDs or Keywords with the new monitoring tool.

This one is a game-changer I'm extremely excited to announce. So what does this mean?

In your account you can add up to 500 of either:
a) your own domains to track
b) single keywords you want to register or track in other TLDs

Now every single time a new TLD is registered or deleted for each keyword you get it sent right to your email + inside your account.

Say you hand registered "MyExample" in .com and add it to your monitoring dashboard.

If someone 6 months later registered the .net, .app, .ai, or any other of the 1500+ TLDs, you will be alerted.

This does a few things:
1. Gives you prospects you can reach out to sell your names to
2. Let's you know it's probably wise not to let it drop (or the reverse if TLDs start dropping) - literal gold for portfolio and pricing hygeine
3. Notifies you that a keyword you like can now be registered in X TLD This is massive for making renewal decisions and assessing demand and pricing decisions in your portfolio long term.

Right on the dashboard you can see the long-term history of up to 500 domains, with all of the adds and drops for which TLDs for however long you decide to track them.

In addition to this tool, it also means there is now trend data that will be tracked for you to go monitor for any SLD, anytime you want, with a full history of every SLD or keyword!

It's been incredible watching you guys support the cause and utilizing the tools as we keep pushing out more features - thank you ❤️
