I recently purchased a domain from name.com, with the word 'hacker' in it. It was flagged, and i sent an email to name.com, and everything was fine.

I bought the name for development as an IT blog, which wouldn't mention anything illegal - Just an IT blog with some tutorials and stuff. Is the domain a legal risk - i.e. Can a registrar seize it or can i get sued for having a site with the name ******hacker.com?

Thanks

In my opinion no,

as long as the domian isnt used to conduct or promote illegal activities or violate any ToS you'll be fine.

the minute it does promote illegal activities then you have issues.

No there should be no chance of this at all. As long as you do not use the domain for illegal activities then they have no reason to seize the domain name.

Hack is a real word other than the PC Jargon. When I golf we always use the term "Hacker" to refer to bad golfers.
