Domain whois problem

I was checking the whois information for a domain and got this,

The expiry date is 08-Aug-2007, but why is the status PENDING DELETE SCHEDULED FOR RELEASE? Will it get deleted soon?

could it be that the owner cancel the name by accident?

When a domain expires, it is not deleted immediately. It will drop a certain amount of time after it has expired, this is usually set by the registry in question (I think)

For instance, .co.uk domains drop 92-99 days after expiring (On most occasions)

4 possibilities:

1. Domain name really did expire and expiration date never got changed.

2. Domain name was accidentally deleted.

3. Domain name was deleted due to service agreement violation.

4. Domain name was intentionally deleted by its registrant.

We'll never know what really happened. But yes it'll become available soon.
