    Hello,

Did anyone else notice procedure for transfer change from verifying both Registrant email+ EPP Code to only EPP code on most registrars? Is it ICANN's act?
I noticed in on Godaddy and LCN which they didn't send verification email to Registrant or Administrative contact anymore and only ask for EPP Code. I asked LCN support, they said having Transfer Auth Code is enough to show you are authorized person to transfer.

I'm not sure it's write place to start this discussion, but I follow all domain related issue here, so I wanted to share my experience.

Due to GDPR, a lot of registrars no longer send an auth e-mail!

Apparently because of the GDPR thing, icann has changed a lot of this.

It's terrifying honestly, shortening the authorization process will result is a ton more domain theft. Change all passwords and activate 2-FA.

There should be a mechanism created for that. Like when there be a WIPO dispute case, your contact details will be shared. Same mechanism should become live for domain verification as well behind the scene without sharing it publicly.

Yes, at LCN last transfer was without administrative contact approval.

It's ease of transfers as well as risk. The domain owner won't know any of being transferred.
