.tv Domain Transfer - Help!!

Today I have submitted domain transfer requests for 5 .TV domain names which are going to expire in 2 days.

One of my friends warned me that the transfers wont succeed, and the domains may get dropped, because only 2 days are left until they expire. Is it true? Should I cancel the transfer and renew the domains at the current registrar?

Can anyone clarify this?

i believe so- you cant transfer when it is that close to expiry i think- since the new owner knows he has to renew, get the renewal from them and renew, then transfer

Unless I am wrong, when a name goes to expiration transfer is prohibited. Transfer may take 5 to 7 days.... I don't know the names but I wouldn't take that risk, I would immediately cancel the transfer, renew the names then restart the transfer.

I canceled the transfers, but the transfer fee was not credited back to my CC.

They simply issued credits, which may be used for future transactions.

Give 2-3 weeks time to transfer, 2 days is too short. i cant see it could done in that short of time. some registrars will allow it only if you have at least 60 days to exp-date.
If domain expired during the process you may loose it, however some registrar allow transfering expired domain ( manualy ), cant remember which one.

also remember, mostly renewed,registered domain within 60 days cant be transfered. depend on registrar.
