Interestingly enough - I have 1 domain name that is denied - the rest are unconfirmed. Weird.

Don't worry about not having domains chosen for the auction guys. It is looking like this auction is designed to benefit mainly the buyers, rather than the buyer and sellers. The very low reserves we are expected to have are not worth the risk. If I got an inquiring email for any of these domains asking to pay what Jay suggest I leave for a reserve, it would offend me. True low balling! I just think he has set the "bar" way too low! Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the same?

Me too.

They suggest me set the reserve price of 01.org to $1000, then denied it after a while. (Though I knew they require .com mainly)

I didnt touch anything, I didnt play with my reserve prices, infact - on most - I left a reserve at 1k - only a handful were above that...

DreamDesign - 5k Reserve
QBZ - 5k Reserve

I thought were reasonable.....

I removed my best domains form the list.

The ones I left in there I would be happy to sell of for 1k.

Just asked me to confirm my phonenumber for verification, I assume everyone got this?

All of my domains say unconfirmed, as well.

The contact phone only authorizes US phones.

Is this an auction for US domain owners only?

Same here.

Although they want me to set my reserve for OrlandoTravel.com for $1000. That's an insult IMO especially for a relatively small company running an unproven event for the first time in a small market to an uncertain attendee list. These guys aren't Moniker or Sedo or Oversee running this event in a top city location.

I like DomainTools and their product, but gimme a break - is anyone else feeling the same thing?

I signed up for the show thinking they would at least accept one of my domains for the auction - even set reasonable reserves based on appraisals by experienced domainers here and at DNF.

Perhaps the folks running the auction haven't seen my domains yet; overwhelmed?

Hope that's all it is ... really have high hopes for the Domain Roundtable event - will keep my fingers crossed and check back again later.

I'm beginning to think all my domains suck.

I have my reserves all set at the minimum except 2
got the phone number confirm thing
have some domains hi-mid 600's
all are aged
2 are short one words.
my page says unconfirmed on all domains.

I got the phone confirmation thing too.

I think the phone confirmation required from all..

Nothing new with me .. only one of my domains , uyyr.com got "Too many word breaks" today in the auction note column

How does the phone confirmation thing work?...

I just made sure the phone number is correct (even resubmitted it again on the auction confirm page), but have not received a call ... I thought perhaps the phone confirmation was automated like Google's and some others.

Or is the phone number only called, if the whois info, etc doesn't match up; if it matters, I'm a longtime paid member at DomainTools.

Anyways, I've done what I can to confirm - not sure what else I can do ... guess I'll wait to see what happens.

To be perfectly frank, to a lot of people, the $60k reserve I put on Poker.in would be ridiculously high but they accepted that. I know better that it's NOT ridiculously high as I've been offered nice amounts for that name and while I couldn't get action on their part, a gambling ring owner had offered $100,000 for it. The dude isn't returning my emails/IMs anymore though even though he used to, so I have no idea how solid that was.

Meanwhile, I'm surprised they took that and didn't take PN.net at $20k reserve or Deno.com and Icia.com at their fairly low reserves.

Not sure what this means. Two names both read "pending review". One is "confirmed" and the other one "unconfirmed".

That is surprising they didn't take PN.net

even though I think the guys at domaintools are swamped with domains right now and working hard to make everything work ... the system has either some faults/bugs or they want people to put low reserves so as to attract many buyers ...

first , there is the trick/bug?/incentive? that if you set a reserve and then lower it to $1000 the domain gets confirmed ... (NP member gubera also mentioned this) ... try it with any domain , you can delete it afterwards if you don't like it at that reserve ... it needs to be deleted (and then re-enter it with the higher reserve , if you want to) because if it gets confirmed it does not accept a higher reserve (it automatically changes it back to $1000)
ADDED: read this post (#129 in this thread) before you try this

secondly , if you click on the reserve of an uncorfirmed domain so as to change it and then somewhere outside of the box (or if you lower/raise the reserve) , it automatically goes to status "new-reserve-sug" with "suggested reserve $XXXX" (usually $1000) ... in the blog Jay mentioned that if you see a "new-reserve-sug" and put the suggested reserve it will get confirmed automatically
ADDED: read this post (#129 in this thread) before you try this

I think that they are trying to evaluate the domains and fix any problems that arise , so I think we should just wait until they put on the list with the 450 initial names and scores to understand what kind of domains are possibly successful in entering the auction ... I don't think that confirmed means that it is in the auction , it probably just means that it passes the pre-requisites or it is a "bug" because even younger-than-3-years domains get confirmed with reserve at $1000 ... lastly , don't forget that even the initial list can change if for example reserves on some domains are lowered and enter the list while pushing others out of the list ...
