UPDATE BY JAY: The domains will say Pending Review. We are not changing the status on domains until August 6th. Everything is open to Review until then. But you have a good chance at being in the auction if your status has changed to confirmed


Hmmm, it is a little bit confusing , one minute they are reviewing them and saying if its in or not, the next they are saying the list is not final and they won't be putting any comments in until the 6th.

Oh well....not long to wait now :hehe:

A roar of interest has been brought to this auction, That's a nice job by DomainTools,Marketing this auction extremly well, Just one more day until the finalized list is made, As long as you don't have "Rejected" by your names, They are still in the running

I added a couple domains to a .cc package and it's finally made the list (for now)! It looks like it helped to sweeten the pot a bit by adding three more related domains. Sometimes a complete package is worth more than the sum of its parts.

I really do think this is priced to sell at an average of only $300 per name reserve, and I'm pretty confident it will go way higher. It appears packaging can help with making sure the lot value makes the rules requirements.

Supposed to be today...

On a related topic, my guess is that some people with domains on the "final" list will not return their contracts for whatever reasons - which actually would be good in a way ... because 450 domains, at least to me, seems like way too many for the time allotted; auctioneer / bidders may feel overly rushed...

Or are such worries unfounded ... what is the "typical" number of domains in other similar domain name auctions?

I just signed up, *hi*, I just stumbled upon the live auction & found this forum. I so dread being the new kid on the block... sorry if my questions seem weird.

This is the first live auction I've seen, and yep, I'm totally new to all this. I wanted to say thanks for letting this forum thread be seen without registering, too, I enjoy reading what you all who know about this, have had to say over the last 14 pages

About this live auction - they are still accepting domains to be submitted from what I can see. Is it just me, or is this crazy with the final list being done today & contracts going out today?

I still have about 10 (including "lots") sitting at "Pending Review" and "unconfirmed", for the 3rd day now. Although I've seen others post here and on DomainTools comments that they've had some for weeks like that. However, as this is the final day, of course I'm quite anxious - and pretty sure none of mine will even make it to be reviewed in time at this point. I'm suspicious they received a lot more domains than they had planned for.

Being realistic instead of optimistic, I should ask, are there other live-auctions that are similar? and if so, I'd love suggestions on where to find them.

My domains were posted 2 weeks ago, and they are still unconfirmed and pending review, with today being the last day

they are also very high quality names such as BEP(.)COM, TOU(.)COM, THOUGH(.)COM, etc...

Sadly though, it's highly unlikely any of your domains will make the list due to the excessive number of submissions; Jay's crew is overwhelmed...

I suspect next time around, they will limit the number of submissions per person to better ensure people submit their "best" few domains instead of bulk uploading huge lists of everything.

In regards to bidding itself - I'm curious how exactly that will work???

In person bidding seems straight forward enough - I assume all bidders will be required to register for a bid number or something along those lines.

However, on-line bidders - will they need to register? ... and where? -or will it be that anyone can simply log on a computer and submit bids ... if so will there be any user verification?
