Domain Swapping Marketplace.

Hi all!

My name is Al and I believe some of you have read my posting in NP on my upcoming project: SwapNames. For those who havent, youmight want to check it out here.

Well basically, I am creating a marketplace where everyone can have their own domain swapping space. If you have read about the guy who "traded-up" one red paper clip to a house, you will be familiar with the "trade-up" idea.

Anyway, SwapNames is where every domainers can do trade-ups with fellow domainers. Since I have never posted in this part of the forum before, I am posting this as an introduction to the potential money-making idea.

Imagine you have a portfolio of names and everyday, you are actively searching out swaps in the marketplace, making swap offers, accepting offers, doing the actual swaps, etc.. in a few months your portfolio value should increase substantially.

This is a brand new platform and maybe the first in the world, so fellow domainers better sharpen your negotiation and domain valuation skills to really grow your portfolio values fast!

SwapNames is in getting ready to be "Beta" launched....hopefully by 1st May 2007. If anybody is interested to be included in the Beta testing phase, pls PM me.

Hi Adam ... thanks! The idea is definitely not new and I agree with you. There are already a host of sites such as OUD that are making headlines but those are sites with specific targets for trade-ups. For example...hitting the $1,000,000 domain, hitting a LLL.com, etc.

At present, there are domainers who swap their domains in the forums, me included. But as far as I know (I may be wrong :hehe there is no Sedo-like platform/marketplace just for domain trade-ups/swap.

SwapNames is exactly designed for that....and hopefully it will be the first. Hope to see you around and cheers to you!
