Domain Snatched?

So I hand registered a domain. Whois updated to the date and time I purchased it, receipt in my email.

The domain was in "pending" status for 2-3 days in my Gandi account. It gets removed from my account, and I got a refund.

The whois update date and time stayed exactly the same as when I ordered it, but updated to a company.

Was this simply us registering the domain at the exact same time?

I seem to recall this happened to another domain at Gandi recently. Something to be cautious of when registering domains at Gandi. I fear.

Dont use crap registrars

Stick to the top registrars like dynadot, namesilo or namebright

I’d narrow that down to namesilo and epik.
