I just recieved two letters by mail, only addressed to "DAN"

They are from the Domain Registry Of America, they are to inform me of the names zky.org and ziq.org are about to expire, and that i should transfer them to their site droa.com.

I sold these names close to a month ago if not more. I mean, spam at in my email box is all fine and dandy, but to mail me, and expect me to transfer domain names to these people is ridiculous.

heres a few quotes...

"You must renew your domain to retain exclusive rights to it on the web, and now is the time to transfer and renew your name from your current registrar to the Domain Registry Of America"

"This notice is not a bill, it is rather an easy means of payment should you decide to switch your domain name registration to DROA."

WOW, I hope this mail campaign cost them a lot of money.

any one else get this?

ALL THE TIME. Got another one yesterday. Went straight into trash where it belongs.

Atleast they are wasting their money on mailing it out instead of spamming your box. They spent atleast $.70 on sending me a couple of letters just a few days ago aswell and will never earn a dime off of me. Their money ends up in the city dump where they belong. I'm not sure if you have your own server or not but for me it's been a long week of trying to keep mine online due to spoofed spam mails bouncing back by the thousands creating a chain reaction of services crashing. Have actually lost one long time customer due to it and have no control over it whatsoever .

I have received one or two of these.

Simply toss them out.
