Domain Registrar to Domain Parking question

Hi, This is my first post here and I would like advice in the following situation:
I want to register 40-60 domain names with either Namecheap, Moniker or Goddady, (or all).

I would then like to start my future websites by hosting 2 or 3 of these names with either Lunarpages or Host Gator.

Now my question is what to do with the other domain names. If I Park them, must I use the same Registrars, or can I use Domain Parkers like SEDO, NAMEDRIVE or WHYPARK without being penalised or having to pay a fee to do this.

Would I need to transfer these names from the Registrars to the Domain Parkers in order to benefit from their apparent better expertise in this area?

Thank you

yes, you can buy the domains at namecheap.

then you can develop a few, and park the rest.

To park a domain. e.g Sedo, firstly create an account there.

Then click "Add domains". Add all your domains to the list.

Then Sedo will ask you to change the domains "Nameservers"

So go back to namecheap, and change the domain "Nameservers"

and your done :)

Does that mean that if 1 year from now I decide to sell or renew the domain names,
I would have to do it through SEDO where they are Parked instead of NAMECHEAP were I inicially bought and registered the names?
Sorry about the question but since Iยดm a newbie I still have a number of doubts.

Thanks

where you have the domains registered is where they will stay so all management of your domains will take place where you bought them at, domain parking would just involve a nameserver change at the registrar you bought them at and you would just update the nameservers for each name to point them to whichever domain parking company you choose, so create an account at the domain parking company you wish to use and add and optimize your domains and then change the nameservers at the registrar to point to the parking company so they can serve the ads for you...

parked= NS1.PARKED.COM
NS2.PARKED.COM

fabulous= NS1.FABULOUS.COM
NS2.FABULOUS.COM

sedo= NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM
NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM

namedrive= NS1.FASTPARK.NET
NS2.FASTPARK.NET

domainsponsor= NS1.DSREDIRECTION.COM
NS2.DSREDIRECTION.COM

trafficclub= NS1.TRAFFICCLUB.COM
NS2.TRAFFICCLUB.COM

if you are using a domain parking company other than these than follow their instructions for where to point the nameservers, changing nameservers is just telling the domain where to go or where to resolve to so domain parking will not affect where you manage them at and your domains will still be where you bought them at.

Thanks for clarifying that. It seems easier than I had thought.

Buy the way what are your opinions on the following Domain Parkers:
PARKETEER, WHYPARK and DOMAINSPONSOR.

Thanks

never used parketeer or whypark, my personal experience I have seen the highest income from parked.com and fabulous.com, I have seen a good click here and there from sedo, namedrive, and domain sponsor as well but my first 2 choices are what so far has worked the best on a whole, too many factors to state which parking company is the best, category of domain, country of traffic source, etc... the best thing to do is park them at namedrive for a month, park at sedo for a month etc... rotate them around and then leave them where each of them makes the most for you, for a beginner I think namedrive would be the easiest for you to use, after you get the hang of that then try a sedo. The other 4 companies I listed parked, fabulous, domain sponsor, trafficclub may take a day or 2 to get a reponse if you are approved based on your domain names as these 4 have minimum quantity or quality requirements, namedrive and sedo would be the easiest to instantly sign up with and get going.

Thanks again. What about Domain Registrars. Would you say that the following are good choices for a newbie like myself.

NAMECHEAP, MONIKER, GODDADY and DYNADOT.

Thanks

I use godaddy, namecheap, enom, moniker, fabulous, and a few others as well, for a new person I gotta go godaddy based on their 24/7 phone number which I have called at 1-2 a.m. and the longest I have ever waited on hold is 4-5 minutes, a lot of complaints on godaddy along with some of the others mentioned here but I have used them for 5+ years and never had a problem and anything that was questionable was resolved via a phone call, if you are going to get serious and buy hundreds of domains I would then look at reseller options, I currently have an enom reseller account and wildwest as well.

I vote for namecheap as one of the best registra.

Its superfast when you do anything.

Before buying those domains, remember to check out the namecheap coupons thread to get some discounts.
