I wasn't around it days where rare domain names were dropped and a lot of disputes happened when transferring domain names or involving domain settlements. Do you guys know if any registrars still have "fueds" with other registrar's in that, they'd rather not help or work with the other company because of issues in the past? Talking big names like NetSol and Godaddy
some registrars under the guide of "security" make it very hard to transfer out. Many make the "transfer in" link very visible but the transfer out link, well you will have to look hard to find it.
Network solutions is a big pile of hell, changing your whois info there is a real headache and to transfer out they make you wait 3 days to get your auth code.
I feel netsol should be shut down or forced to make their system less torture chamber like.
I will be using snapnames less and less because the names now in many cases are landing with netsol, sometimes ill risk not catching a drop but I cant really deal with this netsol bs all day and night.
godaddy
enom
bigrock
gkg
moniker
onic
bellnames
dynadot
etc etc
have a simple one page to update all your whois
netsol is a big pile of complex junk and garbage and there is no reason for it, just for that hell alone I am getting all my names out of there the minute it hits the 60 day mark.
Namesbeyond is another pile of junk but the only way I got names there is because of snapnames.
Maybe one day snapnames will allow you to de-select certain registrars you dont want them using when trying to catch a name for you
People like to bash godaddy, but their UI is simple, great management especially if you have many domains, pricing is low, and support is very quick by phone as well.
One thing they need to stop is the BS transaction and security code when it comes to transfer. Just use a auth code alone like 99% of other registrars.
