Domain Portfolio Management

I am need of a comprehensive (or as comprehensive as possible) domain portfolio managment system. I've just spent the last hour researching this and have not seen any recent threads. From what I can tell the options are:

DNzoom
Rebel
DomainPunch
DRT (Domain Research Too)

I work on an Apple laptop and the latter two do not appear to be Mac compatible. So I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the prior two, or knows of any of other solutions?

One of my biggest concerns with either DNzoom or Rebel (or any other Web-based tool) is security. I can't imagine giving them my registrar passwords, etc, but man it would sure be great to be have all my domain info up to date and in one place. Tempting but scary. People must be using these sites (DNzoom looks particularly impressive) so, for those of you who do, it would be good know how you got past the security thing.

i've stressed this over and over again. there are registrars that offer cheap fee's and this and that, but i would be skeptical of going with cheap registrars over established companies like GoDaddy that you know aren't going to hose you with mistakes, then offer non-existent customer support.

i've seen too many posts here saying, "help, registrar just screwed me over." etc.

You can always write specs for what you want and hire a coder to do it for you. Obviously if you are on a certain budget that may or may not work for you along with any fears you may have with coders.

DNZoom offers two ways to access your accounts -

Secure account encryption - both the username and password to your registrar and parking accounts can be securely encrypted to enable full automation and daily synchronization.

OR

Manual account control - as an added layer of security, you can choose not to store your account usernames and passwords and enter your credentials only when performing an action that requires you to be logged in to your vendor account.

This creates a session that's destroyed after use and the username or password are never stored.

So, you can start off using the manual control, and if you feel good about it, consider using the storage feature and allow it to log in automatically each day and crunch the numbers of all your accounts while you sleep or do more important things. Then when you log in, all the info is there and ready to analyze.

In addition, regardless of what layer you pick all account functions take place over an SSL connection.
You can read more about the security at this link:
http://www.dnzoom.com/faq/
DNZoom utilizes bank level security, it was designed from the ground up based on the concept of security. It's the biggest concern of our clients. Please also realize our track record speaks for itself. DNZoom was created and is run by industry veterans that are well known in the community.
I'll see about creating some presentation to further explain the innards of DNZoom, the firewalls, the server clusters, the blessed IP's, and all other aspects that our clients should be aware of. It's actually quite intricate and impressive. Till now we didn't create much in the way of an online presentation to explain the gears and a flowchart of how it works. I think its a good topic and will see about having something nice whipped together.

Thanks. Spent 5 minutes on the Web site and couldn't find any info on the tool. Just a download page - which I believe requires a paid account.

I've seen that and may use it on my sales page. But it doesn't include a lot of info I want, like DNS, locked, what you paid for it, etc. I want to be able to sort by TLD, or expiration date, registrar, etc. I also like the idea of my domain info being synched for me, the way the Web-based programs do. But I'm concerned about security.

Does anybody have any direct experience with a Web-based tool, like DNzoom or Rebel?

That would be great. But I'd really love to hear from domainers who have or are using it...

Anyone?

This download site is all screwed up - I tried to correct it several times.

I am the developer of Urldom - you can see the specs and download a free trial from here: http://www.realpropertysoftware.com

This is a Windows desktop application - not designed to work on Mac.

PM me if you have questions - I use this myself on a daily basis.
