I am looking for a good domain portfolio management tool, found these two:

Domain Name Management Software Versions - Feature-rich, however being a Windows desktop app powered by a MS Access database raises some serious portability/backup concerns.

DNZoom.com - The site is up but the service is down. Does anyone know anything about this one?

Does anyone have other suggestions?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
If your on a mac I can recommend you Rage Domainer, great portfolio organizer but has some minor flaws...

Cheers

I like Domain Research Tool. It can do portfolio management and much more. You can get it for about $129 after coupon.

I remember there was a free script on this board a while ago, however I am unable to find the link anymore.

Check out Domain Portfolio Manager From Collection Managers

I think the free script was Eric's Domain Portfolio, think he canned that project, though I'm sure you can get a copy if you want one.

DRT is more than just a portfolio manager, great for finding domains too.

This question comes up a lot on namepros, and even as of now I don't think there is an ideal solution. Perhaps just spreadsheets etc.

There's services like Sudos that look very interesting, and I nearly opted for it, but it requires nameserver changes and its not really synced 100% with afternic which was biggest deal breaker. Spaceship is also wip. Also, I don't need to pay for yet another subscription.

So I built my own domain manager this month in Laravel. It makes managing my portfolio a dream. No need to log in to godaddy to change nameservers, which in itself can be 10min task on 1 domain.

Bulk nameserver updates
Multi platform - Spaceship / namecheap / namebright / godaddy (all the ones I currently use)
Price syncing - highlights any price discrepencies.
CSV uploads and downloads.

I can see everything at a glance and everything feels finally under control (bit of a control freak, have ocd about it!)

Built for personal use only.

Iโ€™ve tried a few recently.
For simple portfolio tracking, DANโ€™s built-in portfolio manager works fine, and Porkbunโ€™s DNS/portfolio panel is surprisingly good for bulk edits.
If you need something more advanced with exports, Efty is still actively supported and works well.
DNZoom seems completely abandoned at this point.

ChatGPT said:

Dan.com has not closed โ€” it was acquired by GoDaddy and fully integrated into GoDaddy Payments, but it is still operational and still used as a sales lander.
If someone โ€œtold you Dan closed,โ€ theyโ€™re confusing:

โŒ Dan shutting down

with

โœ”๏ธ Dan being merged into GoDaddyโ€™s backend

The front end (landers, checkout pages, negotiations) still works.
What changed is the payment processor and the internal platform.
If you want, I can summarize the exact changes:
  • What Dan still does today
  • What features were removed
  • What new GoDaddy backend is powering it
  • Whether Dan landers still convert (they do)
Just say the word.

Hereโ€™s the current, accurate breakdown of what Dan.com STILL does today, after the GoDaddy integration:

โœ… What Dan STILL Does (as of now)

1. Fully functional domain sales landers

Your Dan names still resolve to:
  • BIN landers
  • Make-offer landers
  • Lease-to-own plans (still active)
  • Custom layouts

Buyers can contact you, negotiate, or buy instantly.

2. You can still negotiate directly with buyers

Danโ€™s messaging system still works:

  • Counter-offers
  • Price edits
  • Reject/accept
  • Buyer questions

This is one of the biggest reasons people still use Dan landers.

3. Full checkout and escrow via GoDaddy Payments

Payments are processed by GoDaddy now, but:

  • Buyer pays
  • GoDaddy collects
  • You get paid
  • Domain transfer process remains similar

This part is still smooth.

4. Lease-to-Own / Payment Plans

Probably Danโ€™s most powerful feature โ€” still available:

  • Monthly payment plans
  • Helps close buyers who can't pay full price today
  • You keep full control until final payment

These plans still convert extremely well.

5. Portfolio management

You can still:

  • Add domains
  • Edit prices
  • Set BIN or MO
  • Change lander types
  • Track inquiries
  • Export lists

6. Dan names still get indexed in search & seen by buyers

Your domains still appear:

  • On Dan
  • Through GoDaddy systems
  • In search results
  • On landers that convert very well

โ— What Dan does NOT do anymore

(Just so you know the difference)

โŒ No independent payout system

All payouts โ†’ GoDaddy Payments.

โŒ No new API onboarding

Old API still works for some.

โŒ No more instant transfer on some registrars (limited)

Still works where Fast-Transfer is enabled.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Bottom line

Dan is NOT dead โ€” itโ€™s now essentially:
โ€œGoDaddy landers with Danโ€™s design + negotiation system.โ€

The parts domain investors actually liked about Dan?
Still there. Still working. Still converting.

You're spreading misinformation ;)
Explain to me:

"For simple portfolio tracking, DANโ€™s built-in portfolio manager works fine"

(without using AI)

@Future Sensors

Years ago, my mother warned me that sarcasm would get me into trouble.

How prophetic.

Full admission: Dan has closed down.
