I registered a domain name which doesn't refers to any company i own. If a company with the same name as my domain name asks ICANN to give them my domain name, is that possible? If so, how can I protect myself from now?
Regards

If you have no legal use of that domain name.

And the company which is running on that name files UDRP then yes your domain name might be snapped off and given to them.

There is nothing to protect. You cannot hide with registering a domain name of another company name.

what is the situation that I have register that domain name for some time, say, stupidco.com and few month later, there is a company formed with that name (stupidco Ltd). Will I lose that name? assuming I used that name for parking.

Develop the domain and build a site that is totally different from that company, if you know what they are into.

Actually I don't think there is a company with the same name as my domain, but I need to know what will happen in case my website grows and has in the future millions of visitors each week, and someone creates a company under that name in order to take the domain. In such case, what will happens?
And if I need to create a web-based company with the same name to protect myself, how and where can i do so with the lowest possible coast?
Thank you all for replying.
Regards

Generally, if your domain comes before the company/TM, then you're likely to keep the domain. Nobody can say for certain.

Search for reverse domain hijacking and you will find your answer :)

You could always trademark the name yourself if there are no current trademarks. This would protect you in the future.

Do I need a worldwide trademark to protect my domain name @ ICANN?
Does USPTO.gov trademark enough to protect me?
Thanks

Nothing will protect you if you don't aggressively defend your patent. The patenting process is the cheap part.
