Is it possible to order a privacy protection at godaddy for one year only when my domain name is renewed for 10 years?

I've tried ordering privacy protection, but it only allows me to order for 10 years. It looks like privacy protection expiration date must match the domain name expiration date. Am I doing something wrong?

To be honest I think that's right although you might wanna send GD support an email asking them if you can do it for 12 months.

Can you adjust the years in your shopping cart?

I am a former Godaddy Billing Rep. Unfortunately the system will not allow you to add privacy for any length of time other then the expiration of your domain. So, you cant do what your trying to do. (Unless their is a recent change of policy). However, if you join DNOA.org - they allow you to use their privacy services for free (if I remember correctly)... No need to pay so much for that service and quite honestly. If you plan to resale the domain name, dont put privacy on them..... it just makes it more difficult to get a hold of you.

Yup. Sorry, Justin, but DNOA since stopped offering the WHOIS privacy thing.

As for those domain names still using it, well...
