Hi people,,I read here quite often, and I am seeking some input. I may be buying a school built in 1900, which has a alot of historical value here in the northwest. This will be purchased by my non-profit corp, so the domain will be a .org. Here is my delemma, the name of the school is real long,,and is available, but it is not appealing to even type the whole URL in the address bar, lol. The intitials (wgr.org) in taken as well. How does wgrschool.org sound? Any other ideas to offer? Thanks in advance, JPT

What is the purpose of the website? To raise awareness? Raise funds for rebuilding? That would help determine the name, imho.
Also, if there was some way to structure the name to where it does sound good and be able to be typed... that would be preferred to wgrschool, :imho:
Best of luck,
Allan

The purpose of the corp is to purchase, rebuilt the building using grants, loans etc. the actual name is"warrenton gap road school, which seems to be abit ackward to say, type etc. I will continue to work on this as we get ready to close. thanks for your ideas, any others? JPT

I would guess this is a local/regional interest project and warrenton would be implied.
How about GapRoadSchool.org, TheGapRoadSchool.org or maybe GRSRestoration.org & GapRoadSchoolRestoration.org (one short and the other a descriptive phrase -- one redirected to the other).
Don't sell the longer descriptive name short.
