Nice compilation, but just a friendly reminder:
The domain's estimated value is derived from an algorithm that predicts domain sale prices. But there is no guarantee that it will sell. It is our responsibility to assess the value of each and every domain that we are interested in buying or selling

Most of them for me seem quite useless, because value of a lot of ranged by price and quality domains(my) cannot be the same - 1k$.

Iโ€™ve tested many of the services from that list - including some paid ones (SEDOโ€™s domain appraisal).

And I can say the price differences are often too wide to take them seriously.

Plus, the price is influenced by many subjective factors.

Thanks for a nice list. I use several of those daily. I get most of my names from drops, and estibot puts together a good list with google searches being a major art of their formula.

I was using humbleworth a bit by dropping large lists in. It sort of got me in old school thinking, as it was pulling up some decent names. Justdropped is putting out drop list by tld so I was dropping hunks into humbleworth. The best few names out of 2000 at a time, brings a few names of note. I saw a couple that I hadnt seen on estibot's list, but did want to check. The 2 I would have considered didnt have the numbers I liked. The people that bought them and put them on afternic today, REALLY like them think it was 9k and 3k....

Wish GD was still free, though I use them almost daily when I add names to afternic. I like trying to guess what all the appraisals will be, you get a vibe of that they like, like qLLL (I never remember) they love short names. But now I go to list my names on AN, and I have no idea what GD is about to say, might be under 100 or 3600, they are like all of them...just all over the place, and never have many of them come lose on their guesses.

I'm not a fan of any of these, really.

There are two ways to value a domain, imo: similar sales and revenue when developed.

Here's an example for similar sales. If VisitTulum.com sold for $9,999 in the last 2 years, I'm not parting with TravelTulum.com for less than ~$8,000.

And for potential revenue. If I develop SchizophreniaCenters.com as a directory and sell 5 leads/month for $50, I'm not parting with it for less than 4x yearly income (4*5*50*12*80% = $9,600).

I agree that all of these sites are terrible for assigning value to a domain. They tend to do more harm than good. I would go so far as to say that new investors should avoid these appraisal websites like the plague. The values that these automated tools give you is garbage information.

Beginners should first focus on learning to identify which domains are even salable. Definitely don't hand-register 1000 domains that have 0% chance of selling.
